    Hi Seeker,

"Netanyahu makes some good points, but he can hardly be expected to be impartial in this instance."

I would go a step further and say that Netanyahu, like all other Israelis and those who support them have totally misrepresented the basis of these terrorist attacks. They are loathe to admit that there is any connection between their ongoing battles with the Palestinians and terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon.

    Jig,

I was trying to be conciliatory in my opening remarks by pointing out that some of what he said had some validity. I also found much of what he said to be extreme and one-sided. When it comes to the Mideast, I see villains on both sides, as is often the case with long-standing conflicts.

    HI Abaddon,
I know that you JWs are used to the organisational view of things. Your whole post is absolutely meaningless. The body of Christ, Christianity is NOT any man made group. It is the mystical, sum total of all Christians who are in salvation, at any one time. No group can claim to be anything more than a group of similar minded individuals who or may not be led by Christ. If a person is seriously violating the laws of Christ, then you have:
    1) A saved Christian who will soon be 'called home' by God if he doesn't get his life straight.
    2) A cultural Christian who has never been saved.

So there it is again, you cannot lay any blame for any actions beyond the individuals involved. God will judge them. Perhaps you need to know what you are talking about to keep from spewing nonsense?

    Hi Cygnus,
Try reading the link I posted which cites the Koran and we'll see who the 'idiot' is. I'll bet that you just love people like Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakan.
    Cheers,

    Hi Alan,
Why do you keep posting statements that you know are not true?
    Answering your statements:

    1) When does a Christian quit being imperfect?

    2) If a claimed Christian is going around murdering people, making himself judge and executioner, then you have:

    a) Someone who is going to be 'called home' if they do not repent.

    or

    b) Someone who was never in salvation in the first place, therefore is not a true Christian.

John Calvin has already faced his God over his deeds. It's not my place to say if he was 'a' or 'b'. I do know that teachers in medevial times were warned repeatedly to stop spouting heresy before they were dealt with. Servetus was one such case. Leading people away from salvation by teaching heresy is serious business. My personal opinion is that God will eventually expose such ones in His own time.
Also, if you just can't imagine Christ or the apostles doing something then it's a good bet that that action is not 'Christian'.

BTW, why do you still blame Christ for the actions of individuals who will face judgement? Why do you lay blame at the foot of the cross when you know very well what Christ taught us by His life, death and resurrection?
Onto your fears of theonomy becoming a way of life:
Be assured, those who preach 'dominion theology' will never amount to more than a fraction of claimed Christians. Even 'fundys' like us SBC have 'freedom of religion (or no religion) and no state church' in our Statement of Faith.
Just like in politics, we have liberals, moderates and conservatives. It's a mistake to label anyone, since each one of us has a unique view and we have no governing body that tells us "what to believe or else!"
Each church is an entity unto itself in the SBC world.
I see that we are never going to see 'eye to eye' in many respects. There is no use to us continuing to feud and carry on with insults and disrespect. Let me be the first to apologize for my tactics and falling back into the 'flesh' in my dealings with you.
As Americans we need to support one another in this time of tragedy and war. As human beings we need to work for the good of our fellow man, for afterall, "No man has greater love than to die for his friends". Christ's commands and the Law of God comes down to two simple concepts, "Love God with all that you are" and "Love thy neighbor as thyself".
I commend you on your efforts to do good, regardless of where we differ in the methods of doing so.
May God bless you and yours,
    Rex

One wonders in vain how anyone can produce so much drivel as you do Rex. Here you tell us that God will “call home” misbehaving Christians but he doesn’t lift a finger when terrorists clash planes into buildings? Obviously your God is unable to do anything for you. Why do you bother praying to this misfit? Spewing nonsense? Well, you are the undisputed King in that department.

    Hi Rex,

    you said:

P.S. I think that Julie is in love with me.

I am mortified that you have once again seen right through me.

Take me away with you Rex and teach me all about submission!

    Utopian:

    >History repeats itself primarily due to the corrupt, superstitious, racial, avaristic and ravenous appetites of religious political leaders. There is no marked difference from one nation or from one particular religion to another, if humans are at the core, then the same desires and traits will surface and manifest themselves to the detriment of others.

    By jove, you've got it!
The Bible explains it EXACTLY this way. Romans 3!
BTW, having a personal relationship with Christ is not being religious.

    Hi Norm,
I am sorry that you feel my honesty is not enough for you. My teaching is entirely biblical and it doesn't matter who really likes it. Scripture backs it up.
Yep, God could stop it, He chose not to. He WILL turn it into salvation for many people.
    Rex
