I don't know why they don't let this Armageddon business rest now that the generation of 1914 is no longer literal and can extend a long way into the future even centuries ahead. The FDS is playing the usual mind tricks becoming very emphatic "it will really come soon, it's just round the corner now, we will soon be making a very crucial announcement about armageddon, the remaining time now is so unbelievably short" etc all directed at people that are strongly inclined to believe this non sense and are unlikely to view it critically. Many JWs invested so much in the idea that the end is near they will be gutted if it ceases to be so.
