    Thanks Mary.

This is the kind of thing that would make me just a little rebellious even when I "beleived" the WTS. It just seemed to me that they were asserting control and

authority that they did not possess. It's a damn obsession with them. SUBMIT, SUBMIT, SUBMIT. They sound so shrill! I think many, many dubs are

    awakening. This one sure did!

I think the boys in the writing department had a hangover when they put this article together. What a bunch of idiots, exceeded only by the feeble-minded brothers in the KH who eagerly swallow this swill.

    Brilliant stuff Mary,

    Elders carry a heavy load?

They would not have to carry half the amount if they delegated some of the workings of the congregation to brothers /sisters, they revile in it because of the adulation they receive from the rank and file.

There is a saying "The art of good management is to delegate" they won’t do this, they are their worse own enemy.

Mary, thank you for all your work on this thread, and thank you for showing why I don't read the mags anymore with all this self proclaimed "I am the best person" mentality,

When I read their quotes in the mags and books about following, serving the GB and the BOE, I cannot but think of the scriptures where Paul said in Acts 20:29.30 and it has to apply to them with all this follow me crap and never mentioning Christ as the Leader

29 I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, 30 and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.

There are others but as for me and my household I am going with the scriptures and following my Lord and Master, forget the men, this is whay my God and my Lord told me to do.

Sounds like the usual thing when things are going badly for the Watchtower.

You have got to be loyal to the organisation etc. obey the Governing Body.

Otherwise you will all die at Armageddon.

heathen said: Jesus did for tell his presence as being invisible

No, he did not. Every scripture that refers to his Second Coming clearly shows that it would be a visible phenomenon, not some mysterious "invisible presense".

Matthew 16:28 says: I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." This statement is made just before the Transfiguration where Peter, James and John all saw Jesus transfigured with their literal eyes---not the 'eye of understanding'.

Matthew 24:23 "...At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it..." (in other words, don't believe anyone who says that Jesus is reigning "invisibly")

Mathew 24:30: "....At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.

Mark 13:26: And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Luke 21:27: And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him.

There's absolutely nothing in the bible to indicate His Return will be "invisible" or that it began in 1914.
