Just,
You fail to understand the question about the US government being Imperialistic, and raise irrevelant side issues. Kinda like Bush's answer to the war on terrorism was to invade Iraq.
In general to the subject about US Imperialism:
Imperialism is can be in many forms, ecconomic, cultural, and militarial. The US seems to be using all three, and G. Bush it appears is just a puppet (beinging that he is too ignorant about world affairs to come up with a military stratagy himself or even understand what are the facts or reasons for terrorist attacks(bad or evil people rhetoric), and is being led by those more intelligent about military stratagy not to mention the very rich friends he has, that direct him what countries need to be under US domination in order for the US to gain control of oil, and other natural resourses in order to maintain and sustain it position as the worlds only super power.
As was brought out in other discussions, the possiblity of finacial resourses of the US to maintain wars with other countries, may prove to be too costly, which burden the poor and middle class will feel the most, thru program cuts, that effect government aid to social services. While many of the very rich continue to prosper from the hard work of both the very poor and middle class, profits for the very rich and ecconomic loss for the other 2 classes.
The very hard job the government would have if that happens(which seems very likely) would be to justify thru propaganda why the government is not looking after the welfare of it's citizen, while spending heavily on military occupation of other countries. As soon as it starts hitting these classes harder ecconomically, that's when the government will need to become either more despotic and control the media more, which would not be that effective because of the internet and all the news we can get from more independent sources,, or atleast not so US governmentally biased sources. Sources with degrees in Political science or geography that can explain history and the currant situation in the world without governmental biasedness.
This may be very good thing in time to see happen, but suffering seems to be the cause of many to take a closer look at what government is really doing and make some changes as more become enlightened as what needs to be changed in governement to benifit all.
I think Google has some good videos on these subjects like this one:
