  So you were sitting there in the midst of all your brothers and sisters while the attendants handed packets of invitations to the audience and they reached over you to hand a packet to the person sitting next to you but completely ignored you? Am I envisioning this correctly?

  I'm not so sure about that. All the publishers are to pick up their allotment at the literature/magazine counter where there are stocked. It may be that OTWO wasn't allowed to receive his share.

  OTWO, did you at least receive your own personal copy of the invitation? If not, then your fade will have been punctuated right then and there!

  Eerily, we addressed the same issue at the same moment, Alligator Wisdom.
  They handed them out after the meeting, easier than getting everyone to the counter.

  Wow, donations set up electronically. Isn't it dangerous to use the web? Putting it money through it? Is that wise?? (Said tongue in cheek.) According to my parents and sister it is a dangerous place not to be trusted. All those predators out there ready to attack...

  Electronic transfer of funds doesn't have to take you to the web. It's just a transaction where they
  take the money right from your account. Many businesses do it now when you hand them a check
  or mail the check. Once they have the account number, they take the money right now. Computers
  and the web are used, but not by you.

  I know you were joking, but others won't.

  They handed everybody ONE copy, and later reached past me to
  hand my wife a packet, but it wasn't during the meeting- it was afterward.

  Okay...got it. Still, I can see them making a production out of making sure that you see them handing her a packet but yet not having one for you.

  And they think that behavior will shame people into admitting their rebelliousness and return to the fold...how childish and immature.

  For post Number 2000, I will bump myself to the top. I really wanted to see what
  people thought of these printed announcements.

  By the way, the Special Talk is scheduled for April 15th, nearly two weeks after the Memorial,
  giving those new potential recruits some indoctrination reinforcement. For Saturday congregations,
  it will be on April 21st.

  I find it interesting that, according to at least one who commented here, not all people are getting this same announcement. Even some places who use English are getting shortchanged. I don't know what to make of it, except, that the honor of supporting less than overflowing coffers seems to be falling to the American brotherhood. Only fitting, since they got the lions share of the 'annointed' slots in heaven too.

  How can they accept electronic payments on the internet if they aren't allowed to go on the internet? After all, going to sites like bankofamerica.com may misdirect you to porn, or (gasp) even worse, Apostate sites.
