Once I found $500 that was jammed in an ATM machine. It took some effort to pry it out of the dispenser. I took it into the bank, and found a teller talking to a guy who had just tried to make a withdrawl but didn't get the cash. The teller thanked me for bringing in the money, but the guy, for a reason only he knows, gave me a hell of a dirty look. It almost made me regret being honest.

I found three rings in a baggie. Wedding band, engagemnet ring and a mothers ring. I placed a found ad in the paper and they were id'd the next day. When I returned them the lady gave me a kiss and a check for 500$. I would have settled for the kiss, but she insisted on the reward.

Yes. Back when I worked in nightclubs, sometimes customers would accidently drop random bills on the floor and not notice. Then they'd leave. I wore slip on shoes, so I could slide my foot out of my shoe, pick the money up with my toes and put my shoe back on. No one noticed. HEY! It was a strip club, alright! They shouldn't have been wasting their time and money there anyway.

You are my favorite old person now !

Lets say you go throught the bank drive through, and cash a check. They give you an extra hundred bucks.........Would you tell them? (i have to admit, I didnt, and felt guilty)

I would probably not tell them.

I also had another experience where a guy at the ATM left the ATM at the "would you like another transaction" screen... I could withdrawn all his money (an he had a few grand) but that would weigh to heavily on my conscience.

If you found a wallet with alot of money in it, would you keep it? (I wouldnt, cuz I know how much I would appreciate it if someone returned mine)

Nah I would send it to them in the mail, or call them. I'm not that bad.

How about just a plain envelope, or bag of money with no name? Would you turn it into the police? (still pondering over that one) lol

Hell yes I would keep it. Finders keepers losers weepers baby :-D

So...have you ever found something? Money or anything of value and kept it?

Lol you ppl will probably think im bad. but when I was 7 I made a little device out of paper clips that I would stick into the KH contribution box and pull out 20 dollar bills.... but hey at 7 I'm sure I put it to better use than the cult did...

Ok, I lied, If I fould a duffle bag loaded with money, and no name..............damn strait Im keeping it lol!

But I could never keep a purse or wallet......anything like that. One time my mom and I were on the beach, and saw this extremely thick wallet floating down the shore.....It was the...you go get it , no you go get it game. By then someone else went and grabbed it. He opens it and there are wads of hundreds in it. We made sure he turned it into the lifeguard, and really made sure he didnt remove the money first!

Afterwords, I wish I had looked at the Id in it....what if the lifeguard kept it?

I would return it, personally. I would never turn it over to a manager of a store or whatever.

If I found something with money and no name, I might hang out a bit to see if anyone came around acting like they were looking for something, with a panicked look on their face. I would never turn anything of value over to the police.

My conscience is always there reminding me if I do something wrong.

If I knew who it belonged to, I would give it back, but I would also expect something in return.

Just today, I had to fight from exchaging one of the tips we share at the job. I was given a $5.00, a very rare occurence, and would have exchanged it for a $1.00 bill, had I a split second to consider it, I, however had about two minutes worth of consideration to sort thru, I took the five and put it with the rest of the monies when no one was looking. I hate this part of myself, though it is the trait that gives over the most satisfaction when dealing with it responsibly, and morally.
