I am semi-apologist semi-apostate.
Are any of you aposates?

Apostacy merely begins with "a pause to see." WTS members have blinders on so they cannot see.
We're "aposta-babes" and aposta-bubbas" where the WTS doctrines and practices are concerned, and wear their "label" proudly.

Hi KCM, and welcome to the board!
I still feel a certain pull towards it and a kind of insane loyalty???
Funny that you should mention that word, "loyalty". I don't know if the Watchtower CD-Rom has a "word count" function, but I imagine that if it does, you would be hard-pressed to find another word used more often in the literature (well, except maybe "a" or "the" but you get what I mean). "Loyalty will cause us to faithfully follow the direction of the Organization" would be a typical example of its use, and phrases such as this appear in the publications over and over and over and over and over and over again.
So no, you're not insane. You've just heard certain words and phrases repeated thousands of times over the years, and you're feeling the effects.

Tecnically speaking I was never baptized, so Im not a genuine apostate, however that doesnt stop me from speaking out against the destructive doctrines they teach. I still call myself apostate just for fun, and as a way of thumbing my nose at the WT Society.

You can call me an Apostate. You can call me the devil. You can call me a goat. Just don't call me a Jehovah's Witness. I am free thinking and the Jumpers hate that.

I fit their definition of apostate. I did some action against their org, as well. The wt is apostate from the protestant christianity, from which it sprang. The protestant is apostate from the catholic, from which it broke. The catholic is one of the strains of first century christianity, the one that got the upper hand. Guess it's one of the 'true' christianities.

KCM,
... am I just a weirdo?
No, no, no! I mean, like most of us you are a weirdo ... you have been indoctrinated by a cult, after all, so that's perfectly understandable. But you are far from just a weirdo.
I still feel a certain pull towards it and a kind of insane loyalty?
It is wonderful that you recognize that your loyalty is a kind of insanity. It is called "Stockholm syndrome" and it is the condition fence-sitting quasi-apologists also suffer from. Recognizing that you have irrationally identified with and remain loyal to your captors despite having ample reason to reject them is a first step to breaking free.
I wish you all the best on your journey, and JWD is a great place to start.
Respectfully,
