***If the Watchtower made amends for its “sins”***
Amends? Can they bring back the dead (due to refusing life-saving medical treatment)or the lives of those who were abused, whether sexually or emotionally (due to their rules)?
NO!
I find the answer would be complex.
I would have more respect, if they apologized in any way that could be recognized as sincere.
I could forgive them [ how does one forgive an institution?] to some extent.
I could never forget the damage done and the years stolen in propogation of lies and misrepresentation.
If they opened the gates of the prison and emanciated all that were enslaved to the falsehood, and offered support to help them get their lives back together, it would be less than enough, but better than anyone would ever expect.

Well Zico, it would depend whether or not the
apology was real and sincere and whether or
not the actions complied with the apology.
If for some reason it was real I could
forgive, but that does not mean I would
go back.
Face it, the damage is done as another
poster already pointed out.
Respectfully,

Wuck the Fatchtower! - that's what I would say to an apology...
Not a hope in hell.
My bird has bitten me HARD a couple of times. I have forgiven him. That doesn't mean I'll let him near my eyes. That would be very stupid.
I would never refuse to forgive anyone, including the watchtower, if they were sincerely sorry for wrongs they committed. That doesn't mean I'll put myself in a position to be hurt by them again.

Gimme a break. They'll apologize when pigs fly.
They can apologize to their God all day long. If He's even half of who they claim He is, He'll either still be laughing at their absurdity or furious with them for perpetrating a fraud for all these years. At one time I would have welcomed an apology. I think now we're way past that.

I have no respect for a religion that has basically created their own version of god. For example: the "old light"/"new light" scam. Why would god direct his people through his "channel", the faithful & discreet slave, to accept something as TRUTH, and then take out his eraser and remove what he had previously directed them to believe? "Tacking" on the part of god? It's just plain "tacky" and a con. If there is a god of truth, it certainly isn't the god of Jehovah's Witnesses.
