No. It would not gain respect from me because I don't trust them. If they apologized, I would be suspect of their motives.

an apology from the WTS for actively helping break up my marriage would be a first step in the healing process- and a check for $1,000,000 would convince me they were sincerely sorry for the pain they caused me and my children. Maybe, I should write them and give them my current address just in case?

I would forgive the individuals on a personal level, but what has been done organizationally is unforgivable. I have no need for any direction/control from an organization any more, forever, AMEN!

Character is doing what is right even if it means you lose half of your membership...

Help me out with some WWCoC history. . .was their apology issued at a time when they came under new management? What was the situation at the time at which they apologized for their mistakes?

(as I recall, their printed issuance is quite humbling, and seems to not hold back--addresses unscrupulous motives, haughtiness of leaders and underhandedness.)

Oh, my answer is No, thank you.

They'd have to tear it all down and start over, in my book.

I believe that all religions have made mistakes. Taking responsibility would be a start.

The thought of DF because someone disagrees is still foreign. As a witness you can not disagree.

I recall the church of God doing this and it lost nearly 50% of its membership.

Every teachings of theirs also revolved around Armstrong and the fulfillment of prophecy.

Once he died the church had to acknowledge that he was wrong and took a lot of humility to do so.

With the GB of JW i do not see the humility there and they will never die as a group, it will continue to be replenished as needed and of course they will always have the ultimate weapon " NEW LIGHT FROM JEHOVAH"

I agree with DJK. An apology would mean nothing to me. The damage is done and they need to go down.

It wouldn't really make any difference to me and certainly not to others that suffered grieviously and would rather receive some compensation, to them apologies don't mean a thing. This org needs to change so fundamentally to become good and stop harming its followers, it will never happen.
