I am not superstitious at all. And I dont want to become superstitious.
This forum has made me aware how much of my thinking was not based on reality or facts that can be proven.
So everyday I practice eliminating those thoughts and beliefs that are erroneous or fictitious. And I actively reject the views of others that seem fantastic too.
So if anything bad happens today I will reject jumping to the hysterical conclusion that a dark force brought it to me. I will use my intellect to explain that good and bad things occur every day to everyone.
And that I have control over the meaning of events and the interpretation of their root cause.
To maintain my belief in God despite no personal message from Him/Her and no real signature proof, is about the only fantastic belief I allow myself these days. -

eeek am in mortal fear now! Anewme - everything you said is completely admirable. In contradiction to this thread I am not really supersititious but I do like to engage in fantasies and look for omens Thomas Hardy style but its bvery tongue in cheek and I do not believe in any kind of predestination or fate or stars. And if something bad did happen it would be nothing to do with the date at all.
