Nope.
But this year i was more jumpy than ever for this friday 13th.
My grandfather was haveing surgery today i was hoping that nothing would happen. But thankfully everything is ok but it was on the back of my mind.
The other thing not really related to friday the 13th is the full moon, for some reason some people just act mad on this night as where i used to work you just knew it was the full moon.

ok, as I sat in the fitting rooms to a Walmart store during a tornado watch for 30 minutes surounded by nobody that spoke Engish with my 6 yr old and my 14 year old wondering if I were going to die in a Walmart and if that would leave my surviving kids with a fortune...well, I would have to think after THIS WEEK ... I might just have to become superstitious.
It sucked.

There is no such thing as eternal life and it certainly isnt earnt by living a life now deprived, inactively comtemplating the future! ;-)

With what happened here on last Friday, it is (almost) enough to make you superstitious!
I won't go into every graphic detail - but suffice to say, there was one fatality involved; and
as of 1810 hrs on Monday evening (local time), I am still trying to pick up the pieces.

My daughter was born on Friday the 13th, full moon, almost at midnight!!
Sometimes I swear she acts like it, too!!

The custom of Friday 13th most likely comes from the day of October 13 (Friday), 1307 when King Philip IV of France with blessing of Pope Clement V, began early at dawn to be persecute Knights Templer, after which many ended up being burned at the stake, and whole order basically disappeared over night which changed the face of Europe for good. In modern times it was popularized through horror movies like Friday the 13th.
But there is nothing special about the day. Strange things do happen though when someone point to any day, number or pattern because our mind starts subconsciously seeking and singling out these peculiarities at those times and lo and behold they really happen, not that any other day is much different. Like tonight there was something on telly about Jim Carrey and his new move about number 23, few minutes later I was flipping through a book and all of a sudden realized I'm looking at something strange. Then it hit me, my mind just registered number 23 on a page. Strange, innit?

Friday the 13th means nothing to me, however, I will never drink on a full moon.
Get a little crazy.
