And god knows, we're both nothing but a couple of filthy liars, right? OK, enough of that. I spoke to an Optomotrist and told him the story and asked if there was any way these contact lenses could flip back and forth if someone were wearing them. He said it was possible, but unlikely, as the lenses are more or less 'suctioned' onto the eye. If they were lose, it would be far more likely that they would fall out. However, he did not rule this out completely, so that could be at least one possible explanation.

Nope, but she certainly stepped back when she saw it. Of course if I had been there, I would've opened my big mouth and said "What the hell is wrong with your eyes?" LOL!!

There have been many stories hanging around the internet of black eyed kids.

I personally would go ask this woman how she made her eyes do that. IF she denied doing it. I would tell her that God tells me when she is lying.

Mary.........Arent ya going to say, "I told ya so buttlight!!" lmfao

Sorry, but i have to agree with warlock on this one, as far as it cannot be contacts...your eyes would be black all the time.

Actually, I would tell her to ask the woman about it! When I was a kid, we had one of those churches around the corner. So we of course heard rumors, and had to check it out for ourselves. We craked the door open, and people were on the floor, speaking in tongues.....and we ran like there was no tomarrow.

How do they do that, when they only speak english?

I told ya so......you owe me a bottle of wine!

I think I'm gonna go to where she works (just up the road from me) and get her to point out the woman......I'll take the bible and thrust it in her face-----see if her head explodes. heh-heh-heh........

My understanding is that they're not really speaking another language at all----it's just all jibberish. However I do they're really weird and do all kinds of weird shit that I would not want to get involved in.

Very weird stuff. I wonder if maybe she is so full of shit that every once in a while it shows up in her eyes.

    Mary:

And god knows, we're both nothing but a couple of filthy liars, right?

Not at all. However, Warlock seems somewhat over-confident for someone who only has a brief second-hand description of the event to go on. Delilah could have been mistaken or had a brief hallucination or made the story up or been the victim of a practical joke, or you could have misunderstood her or made it up yourself or imagined it or had your JWD account hijacked, and so on. It's hardly conclusive evidence of supernatural activity.

Something to be noted here is that the fact that an event is unexplained does not mean it was a supernatural occurrence. I can't explain what happened because I'm not in full possession of the relevant facts, but neither is anybody else. There are a dozen explanations that seem far more likely than that the woman was possessed by a spirit being who accidentally showed itself by briefly turning her eyes black.

    ButtLight:

They make it up. They're not really speaking foreign languages. They're speaking gibberish which they believe to be a language they don't understand. Those who "translate" are simply making something up. (That's not to say they don't all genuinely believe it, just that in reality, there's nothing supernatural going on.)

    Derek,

This is wear it gets weird: According to Delilah, the woman's "eyes rolled over black, and then back to her normal eyes again." I said "You mean her pupils dialated?" She said "No. The entire eye: the Sclera (the white part of the eye) , the iris, the pupil----everything!"She certainly hadn't been expecting that and she actually backed up a couple of steps and thought "Holy shit, I didn't really see that did I?" It really freaked her out and she spent the rest of the day trying to convince herself that she didn't actually see that. When I was talking to her she said "I know how it sounds but Mary, I saw it happen."

This is what the lady said. Why should I believe your "explanations", instead of her?

Yes, Ive heard that too.......but have also watched shows, "suppose to be true" I cant prove that....of people who were possessed and did speak a different language that was interpreted by a priest. Is it true? I dont know, so I cant say its not either.

You said there are a dozen other explanations.......I havent seen that. Personally, I cant see it being contacts, for the reason I said. And also the fact that these are not normal size contacts. My new contacts slid around, and fell out of my eyes. They didnt hide up in my eyes, and poof, appeared back in a blink.

If i look at a woman with heavy dark eyeshadow.....I would know the difference if the eyes were open or shut....especially when you see the eyes roll back into their sockets...but thats just me.

No, it's what another lady said the lady said.

Why should I believe your "explanations", instead of her?

Even if her description of the event was completely accurate, why would her explanation be better than mine? Any of the explanations I have suggested are of the sort that could actually happen in the world as we know it. People make mistakes and tell lies and hallucinate and get fooled, and stories change in the telling. In the absence of any evidence other than hearsay, why on earth would you simply believe the most preposterous explanation possible when there are so many mundane explanations to choose from?

Because she was there, and you were not.
