DELILAH'S STRANGE EXPERIENCE......

OK, I wasn't sure if I should post this, but was convinced by Buttlight someone who shall remain nameless.

I was talking to Delilah the other day (she hasn't been posting because their computer broke down a few months ago). She had a bizzarre experience at work a couple of weeks ago that really freaked her out.

The Friday before Easter, one of the women who works on her floor, was passing flyers out inviting people to a worship service that weekend. She handed one to Delilah who wasn't really very interested but she asked her "What religion is this?" The woman was vague and said it was "inter-denominational" but it came to light that she's a holy-roller. Anyway, Dee wasn't interested and just said "Well, I was raised a Jehovah's Witness but no longer go and I'm really not interested in joining another group."

This is wear it gets weird: According to Delilah, the woman's "eyes rolled over black, and then back to her normal eyes again." I said "You mean her pupils dialated?" She said "No. The entire eye: the Sclera (the white part of the eye) , the iris, the pupil----everything!" She certainly hadn't been expecting that and she actually backed up a couple of steps and thought "Holy shit, I didn't really see that did I?" It really freaked her out and she spent the rest of the day trying to convince herself that she didn't actually see that. When I was talking to her she said "I know how it sounds but Mary, I saw it happen."

I will usually try and find a logical/rational explanation for something first. I phoned a RN that I know and asked her if there was any medical condition that would cause a person's eyes to roll over black like that. She asked the same thing I did "You mean did her pupils dialate?" When I explained that it was the entire eye, she said she had never heard of that and knew of no medical explanation for it.

I know there are plenty of skeptics on here who don't believe in the supernatural. If you've got any suggestions as to what could have caused this, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. BTW, Delilah is not a liar, she doesn't exaggerate and she's not insane. Actually, I think she'd be relieved if someone could find a rational explanation for this.

I jokingly said "well, either she's possessed or an alien".

I knew someone years ago, he was on my dart team, who could do that and it was a great bar room gag.

I have also witnessed two epileptic seizsures(sp) and the victims did that.

Do you know how exactly they did this?

Well, I'm afraid that ruling out narrative exaggeration or mild perceptive hallucination (which can happen without the person being "a liar" or "mentally insane") right from the start you will be looking very long for a rational answer...

On edit: epileptic seizures would rather make the eyes turn white, but the surprise might cause an onlooker to describe it otherwise.

Father Justin in the HBO series Carnivale did that and he was possessed of the Devil!

Did the woman know that it had happened? That is well freaky! Trust "someone who shall remain nameless" to be involved in this story! One night us lot will get together round a campfire and exchange horror stories.

    Hi Mare!!

God do I miss Dee. Well........I've never heard of anything like that. If someone rolled their eyes up into their head so to speak it doesn't appear black. There's nothing physically to cause the eye to turn completely black - I know Dee isn't a crazy woman or one to exaggerate.

So it just turned black and then went back to normal?? I would've been freaked also, but I don't believe there is any medical explanation for this. Did she ask any of her co workers if this woman did this to them?

Perhaps Narkissos' explanation should be given some merit. Maybe due to lighting/shadowing in the room Dee saw it as black, but maybe it was not. I know from seeing Pentecostals some really weird s*** can happen.

I don't know how he did it. It hurts if I try to do it and everyone around also tried to do it.

So Mary, you are looking for a rational explanation for a supernatural experience?

Do I have to come out and say it? Sounds like there is a demon making a home in her.

Oh sorry, I almost forgot. They don't exist. Just like God doesn't exist.
