Often, but not always, God’s true prophets predicted future events

so let me get this straight, and please correct me if ive got it wrong.......youre saying gods true prophets "often" predicted future events, BUT, the society has never claimed to "predict". is that correct? so none of gods true prophets have ever been involved with the society? or the true prophets of the society just werent part of the prophets that "often" predicted future events? please explain.

and question, when c.t.r. proclaimed himself to be a prophet, was he speaking in greek or english? just wondering. english definition of the word:

prophet: A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of a god is expressed; A predictor; a soothsayer

    GermanJW,

Oops! Sorry, I totally missed that. I just skimmed your message when I saw the usual argument, and missed your smiley. :)

as regards to the society claiming to predict, I have yet to see
a statment where they have claimed that dates such as 1975 came through
    a revelation..

i havent seen the prophet statement by c.t russell so i cant
comment on it, however i would be interested in seeing his statements
    of "prophecy" of divine revelation.

you missed my point entirely, as you usually do.

as regards to the society claiming to predict, I have yet to see
a statment where they have claimed that dates such as 1975 came through
    a revelation..

did you or did you not just finish telling everyone that "often" gods true prophets "predict"? so was/is the society part of these "true prophets" that "often predict" or not?

again i hit the point on the head and you failed to
    see the answer.

if you show me where the society has claimed to predict based on sources outside the bible..i would give you the answer you want.

as far as i know, the society is not claiming to be a prophet
who claims to fortell future events..again go back to one of my first posts

@seeker: it was intended to be a funny remark - I did not know that it is really used as an argument :-)))))))))))))))))

I'm afraid, nytelecom, that you're being deliberately stupid. Go back and read my post. The Society most definitely has used sources outside the Bible to help it make its false predictions. What don't you understand?

    alanf,
I did read your post, nothing new despite what you may think.
Please dont call me stupid, becuase if you said that to my face
I would resort to breaking your neck. If you are ever in nyc, i would be more than willing to meet you.....i am imperfect after all.

Yes, the WT does make some accurate predictions. But it fulfills its own predictions! Read what they say about apostates becoming more rampant - obviously this is correct because they see that modern technology means that shunned and gagged ones are now communicating and all hell is breaking loose!

I can predict that I will be skint if I stop working, its easy to make obvious predictions like that, which is exactly all the WTBTS is capable of.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be....
