Men, Music and that XY Factor

I absolutely love music. I'm a musician, artrist / poet and I am enthralled by the voice of many a female vocalist.

We all enjoy music, well, most of us anyway. It's usually never a problem when women who listen to men and get all dewy-like, you know what I'm talkin' about? But why can't us guys get off on the beautiful voice of a woman, in public, mind you, like when your stereo is on in your car at the drive thru window, or at a stoplight and somebody like Josh Stone is peelin' one away in your ear, giving you auricular orgasms,

Why are guys so intimidated by the wonderfully melodic voice of a woman? If not, then, guys, who absolutely sends your rocket to the moon when singin' one of your favorite tunes.

Have you ever went to a Diana Ross concert or such type person. The men fall over themselves trying to give her roses!

Nancy Wilson. And I absolutely could not contain myself. Patti Labelle as well. One year in the mid to late 90's. I was an embaressment to my wife. I lost all control. Especially when she'd start taking off the dozens of pairs of shoes she used as props for her show. At the end, however, she voiced a word of caution to her fans to always be available to your family members. She's lost several of them to breast cancer and other maladies. She mentioned how she neglected to see her sister before she passed away in death, she was in the hospital, and just took for granted that she was going to be OK. Her sister asked her to bring her a candy bar, she paid it no mind, but found that she'd died shortly thereafter. We never miss the ones we love until they are gone. Truly gone.

Years and years ago when Chaka Kahn was with the group Rufus, she came here. Some crazy man tried to pull her off the stage! I think he almost pulled her dress off. She said she'd never come back here, and she hasn't!

Ronnie Specter. I challenge you to listen to Walking in the Rain or Be My Baby and not melt, Proph. She was so gorgeous with her mile high bee hive hair doos and high heels. My son saw her on TV when he was about two. He went over to the screen and pointed her out. He said, "Mommy, I love her." And to this day he prefers women of color or hispanic women to caucasion women. Ronnie never will say which ethnic background she's from.

Many of my musician friends, who were, " Worldly " as we once put it, would be slightly side ways'd when I would mention how I'd just learned a new tune that was a female vocalist, so I would keep that world rather screened off from my friends. Sticking with Brothers Johnson, EW&F and some others.

Now there were some ruff girls who we could get away with listening to. Chaka Khan was one. Sade you never got a lot of funny looks, as well as Anita Baker, but as soon as you put Whitney Houston on or Vanessa Williams, then you would set off what could often be described as Gaydar thats short for Gay Radar. I make no apologies. I love you women. You are the greatest acomplishment that God has ever created.

How about Marilyn McCoo singing Puppet Man? Or Dusty Springfield singing Son of a Preacher Man or The Look of Love? You can see why a two year old who looked like Leonardo DiCaprio would flip over a stunner like Ronnie.

Proph, I don't know about those dudes you were hanging with. My husband loves Whitney Houston and Anita Baker. I knew that he had a crush on Whitney. My husband knew that I was fickle! I was in love with whatever guy's music that I was playing. I use to tell him I was going to marry someone from the group Cameo!
