Beethoven's Seventh Symphony
ON BEETHOVEN’S SEVENTH SYMPHONY
We imagine him standing
on a storm-lit plain,
Precambrian sea bed,
hands open, stretched out arms
circling the sky. Then, lightning strikes, and his heart,
bioluminescent, glows like a jellyfish,
rising, rising.Going home,
a ball of creation in each clenched fist.
Spiral galaxies etched like fossil tracks
on nerve pathways.
Sparking along the third rail
to bypass clay-plugged ears
into the center
of the dance. -

This is a good idea!
Here is my YouTube version of Rachmaninoff's vocalise. There are other versions: piano only, orchestra or even an accordian!
