Oh, on the topic of choral pieces...anything by these guys:
They're a men's acapella choir who do everything from "early" music through more modern stuff (I got my parents one of their AfricanAmerican Gospel CDs...outstanding).
I have several Christmas CDs but they couple of theirs that I have are about the only thing that I play during Christmas time.

I love a lot of classical music but that piece by Shostakovich is the one that always stuck in my head - it's almost like background music to my thoughts!
