I know what you mean. I just emailed a JW who I put on the circuit assembly and interviewed not more than a year ago. Just last week we were exchanging emails on one another's health and family. I then wrote him regarding the need to investigate the religion. Mind you my not being a JW has not been announced yet. He writes back that these are bad thoughts that I am having and that I should never contact him again. Just like that. It shows how effective propaganda is. But it does hurt.

what you do not realize is that in the bible God says that the light of knowledge will continue to get brighter for his true servants.

Poor dub. The Bible says nothing of the sort. This is one of those mythological teachings that JWs will cling to despite it's being completely unfounded. This talking point about "light getting brighter" has been so effectively drilled into the average JW mind, that they cannot see the forrest through the trees. This mindset allows them to give robotic obedience and agreement to a group of men who treat the Bible like a lump of modeling clay.

I just woke up, thanks for all the great replies.

El Conqistador's had Yahoo remove my answer about Revelation so I have asked Yahoo on what grounds and sent a copy of the email that I received. (Though if El Conqistador's account is suspended then I am sure he will count that as persecution and further evidence of Jehovah's approval.)

As much as JWs pride themselves on their love, comments like this show that even if they put on an outward display of love at the kingdom hall it is often just a cover.

Well you have aired his or hers email, they have an oppinion and a right to express it just as you have done. One thing I must say is I wonder if people are going to the meetings (some of) and then coming on here shooting. I find that really sick.
