It's true that this email will not result in any sanctions from the congregation. However, if it gets posted on this forum, it will be there for all to see what kind of heartless, uneducated drones are in the Tower when others research the religion. And, if they see this sort of attitude, it will turn them off. Growth will slow, and they might even experience much-needed negative growth!

I noticed the letter was full of stupid errors. No apostrophes. No capitalizations. Bad grammar. If this is how they write, then I can't wait until they try letter writing witnessing. Hopefully they write like this to those in Nigeria where rapid growth can be derailed rather spectacularly with this hate-filled, error-ridden writing style. And a letter written like this in the US or Europe will be met with a trip to the shredder, not a visit to the Kingdumb Hell.

I am glad none of the Witlesses in my congregation know my email address. They don't even know I have a computer! I can be pretty sure that if I ever get an email like this from the Witlesses, I will post it on a public forum so all can see the true attitude and level of education sported by the group. I wonder how embarrassed they would be to see this email prominently posted on Myspace!

Letter writing witnessing ... how appropriate. No spelling skills; no writing skills; no editing skills ... so pathetic. What's he/she doing on the internet anyway? Doesn't he/she follow all the "counsel" given on the dangers of being on the internet? Then again, he/she probably has no reading skills either. That "advice" probably just flew right over their head.

Hey JWFacts.....they say that in life you know you have made it when you get your name written up on the dunny wall!!!!!!!! You've officailly made it, no salvation for you!!!! [lol]
You do an awesome job, your web-site has so much useful information, I don't know why they would even bother trying to argue such a useless point.

Need I remind you again: you are new, welcome. So you don't attend any more. Stick around, read heaps more stuff. Get your self a copy of Crisis of Conscience, I bet the longer you remain a member of this board the more you will learn of the inconsistencies within the JW religious [not spiritual] belief system.

GeeVee I haven't heard of that before; now I have a new goal.

This is an interesting point WTWizard. I remember when I did Business territory they hand selected from a few congregations who could be involved so that only those that could present professionally were involved. I wonder if in letter writing they will also strictly monitor what is sent.

JW facts. Unfortunately, if your own religious beliefs encompass pagan beliefs such as Christmas, birthdays, homosexuality, Valentines day or such doctrines as the Trinity, Jesus is God or Faith alone- no works needed, then your complaints about the JWs carries no weight and is considered void. Sure, the JW who wrote you was quite passionate but he or she should not have predetermined your destination. That was wrong of him or her to say that. Secondly, what he or she told you was an 'opinion' and that was wrong.
She or he isn't supposed to do that. They are supposed to quote scriptures and say "what the scriptures say- not what "they" say.

Ultimately, it is God's decision where you end up. The JWs job is to just preach door to door about their testimony about Jehovah and what it can mean to you. Some don't do this, but instead, drag their heels door to door, not giving a dam about the other person's beliefs or interests. Some have the "so you wanna join or what!?" or "this isn't easy for us- here we are going to door to door and aren't getting paid for it." Alot of them ignore the "go and be perfect" instructions that are mentioned more than once in the Bible and use the "nobodys perfect" teaching to be flexible in making mistakes, being rude and obnoxious and the like. They cannot be opinionated and say where you are going to end up. But I guess that brings us back to the "we're human" aspect which I got kind of sick of hearing from some of them. I actually got glares from some of them when I said "Don't use that as an excuse to sin." That's another story.

Anyhow, they are to simply "go unto all nations" and preach. No other religion can come as close to the JWs when it comes to this preaching ratio. I've been in some churches like the Seventh day Adventists and Mormons where either they sit in church and "let God bring the seeker to them" (not Biblically sound) or to "pick and choose" which door to knock on (disorganized and not Biblically sound). The Bible says "Go unto all nations" (Matt 28: 19). No offence, but I too don't listen to people that knock my faith, even if I haven't been there for two years, it doesn't matter. If I see that their faith reflects doctrines of Paganism in anyway, shape or form, the arguement is void and carries no weight. To them, it would be like listening to a murderer give his philosophy about why people shouldn't kill, yet he himself is a killer. This isn't you but I'm just saying.

...and that makes them gods only channel? I take it you don't wear rings, wear ties, enjoyed a marriage ceremony, hang wind chimes, wear makeup, and the list goes on... after all those practices are ALL pagan, hell everything we have or do today has ROOTS in pagan practices.

Oh, and here' s a tidbit, Jesus never existed and Jehovah is a Canaanite sky/thunder god that the jews ripped off after invading their lands (jews used to be polytheistic until the YHWH cult took over, at which time they went monotheistic.

I remember letter writing campaigns - to Malawi for instance - we spent hundreds of hours writing letters on those thin blue international airmail forms - handwriting so it took longer and we could count more time. No one supervised it or even looked at the letters to see what we were saying. could have been ranting our crazy little minds out - probably no one read them at the other end, either.

i'm amused by the jw's in this thread because the only thing they know how to do with any proficiency is bad-mouth other religions,...which *shock horror* doesn't prove them right. it's simply a distraction.

why do you feel the need to talk all this bad stuff about others?

The book you were discussing."Revelation-it's grand climax at hand" entire contents is nothing about anything BUT "talking bad stuff about others". The whole book is full of condemning religion with name calling thrown in for good measure. Not only is religion condemned in it's pages, but so is all governments.

It's always ok for the witnesses to talk down others, judge and condemn them, call them names such as whores, false, Satans agents, beasts, liars, corrupt, opposers, murderers, bloodguilty, etc., but don't ever call the witnesses any of these names.

It's also funny how they put progressive information( brighter light) on the same level as false information. Clearer understanding has NEVER meant a false statement that has been changed to mean something entirely different.

The individual witness is just like it's mother that they represent.......never admitting they were ever wrong about anything. Funny how much of the 'brighter light' the witnesses end up believing in is exactly what christendom, the lying whore, has been saying all along and without Jehovah's direction.

Now I know why I didn't make a good JW. I was too nice. I tried to make real logical arguments... but there aren't any so I had to get out and argue the other side's better arguments.

Typical witness reply. With them it's, "...nothing new under the sun".
