I really feel for the poor guy, gripped by a delusion, fighting with all his might to stay deluded, he might as well try to walk across the ceiling by sheer force of will.

I don't think he was really mad at you, JW Facts, you just represent the personification of his own nagging doubt.

I liked this bit: also dont try and talk to me because i will be blocking all of your communications.
Isn't it interesting - a hit and run JW. He thinks it's fair to dump on you but won't allow you to respond to his illiterate rant. I also like the logic that says a person speaking his mind freely on the internet is the equivalent of a terrorist or murderer. Great thinker, this guy.

TimmyCat, from reading a few of your comments I can not work out if you are a JW or not.

Well you have aired his or hers email, they have an oppinion and a right to express it just as you have done.

I am for freedom of expression, but only within reason. I may not agree with JW doctrine, but I would not condemn a JW as a Satan worshipper.

One thing I must say is I wonder if people are going to the meetings (some of) and then coming on here shooting. I find that really sick.

Many people here that no long feel the WTS is directed by Jehovah still go to meetings. The reason is that the heinous and manipulative practice of disfellowshipping forces non believeing JWs to pretend to believe in order to keep contact with family and friends.

Unfortunately, if your own religious beliefs encompass pagan beliefs such as Christmas, birthdays, homosexuality, Valentines day or such doctrines as the Trinity, Jesus is God or Faith alone- no works needed, then your complaints about the JWs carries no weight and is considered void.

Need I Remind You Again, this type of statement is totally false. Firstly, I make no comment on the Internet about what my beliefs are in this area. Secondly this is an Ad Hominem attack, attacking the person rather than the argument. If I say gravity exists it is no more or less correct a statement whether I am a devote Muslim or a devote Christian. I highlighted in my yahoo thread that with the variety of contradictory statements about Revelation prophecy shows God is not guiding the WTS in its doctrine, the accuracy of that statement is not dependant on my current beliefs.

I've been in some churches like the Seventh day Adventists and Mormons where either they sit in church and "let God bring the seeker to them" (not Biblically sound) or to "pick and choose" which door to knock on (disorganized and not Biblically sound).

This statement too is not supported scripturally. The preaching work of the Witnesses goes against Bible guidelines. (http://jwfacts.com/index_files/preach.htm) For instance, the Bible specifically says not to go house to house.

Luke 10:1-7 “After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. … 5 Wherever YOU enter into a house say first, ‘May this house have peace.’ 6 And if a friend of peace is there, YOUR peace will rest upon him. But if there is not, it will turn back to YOU. 7 So stay in that house , eating and drinking the things they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not be transferring from house to house. (Ek oikia eis oikia)”

It also does not say to preach about Jehovah but about Jesus.

Acts 1:8 “… but YOU will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon YOU, and YOU will be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem and in all Ju·de´a and Sa·mar´i·a and to the most distant part of the earth.”

Galatians 1:7-8 “… the good news about the Christ . 8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to YOU as good news something beyond what we declared to YOU as good news, let him be accursed.”

Acts 28:31 “preaching the kingdom of God to them and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with the greatest freeness of speech, without hindrance.”

If I were in your shoes JWFacts I'd post that response (and any other info about the sender) online and let all who come to your site see the ignorance. If it were me I would also send that and any info regarding the sender to the Society. Wonder how long it would take them to come out with an article about watching what you write in e-mails and where you go online (yet again!!!). In fact I think that everyone who recieves and has recieved hate mail from a JW should forward it on to the WTS. "Here, read this.."

That is such a wonderful example of religious bigotry, you really should take advantage of it.

It's hardly suprising that he responded that way though. A lot of people, especially those who are religious are very narrow minded and have no respect for freedom of speech and thought which makes their particiption in the democratic process an irony and a joke.

And here's a thought for all you JW's out there...Would Jesus have sent an e-mail like that??? Of course not. Whoever the sender is it's clear that this person has yet to manifest the fruits of the spirit.

Anyhow, they are to simply "go unto all nations" and preach. No other religion can come as close to the JWs when it comes to this preaching ratio.

The question to ask is: what exactly are they preaching? Are they preaching the Gospel that Jesus and his apostles preached without any alterations or additions? If not, then numbers and statistics don't mean a whole lot.

Hello JWfacts.........I understand what you mean, yes I am a JW, I have been back for a year after a long time out. The thing that stricks me the most is the abuse cases and also the lack of love from some of the elders, I also find it difficult to understand the certain biasness with in the congregations to certain ones that have property. But the only thing that I objected to was the slagging of witnesses personally unless we know them and have a grip, because I find the majority I know to be really nice people, that believe in what they are doing.

    Cheers

Why is it that hateful dubs are often (usually) illiterate?
