    John Doe,

I understand what you're saying, as I intimated in my previous post, although I disagree with animal fighting, I think a one against one dog fight is fairer than 40-odd against one.

I'll take your premise that as long as the animals are well cared for and that animals fight in the natural world anyway. On those standards, what do you think of this recent case in the UK:

Question is? Do dogs fight in the natural world?

Yes they do. BUT only if the pack leader is perceived as weak which would be a detriment to the entire pack. Survival of the fittest at its best.

If the strong pack leader fails in keeping his pack "in line" and protected he will be replaced by a second in command. Others that don't want to follow his/her lead will be ostracized which will lead to death as they are left alone to fend for themselves.

There is absolutely NO FIGHTING for entertainment or for any other reason in the wild pack order. Playful nipping and jostling is only done among the pups.

Dog fighting is strictly a manmade "sport" which I believe is immoral and shows the essence of a person. If you want to educate yourself about how these dogs are trained to kill, then Google for more information---- I personally can't stomach it.

And those are the FACTS of dog fighting in the wild.
