"They don't realize that the organization cannot be any stronger or better than its members. "........................................................Very true!! Thanks WTWizard for pointing that out!! any organization is made up basically with people. and with the procedure the are now practicing about submission, it seems all they would have eventually are people without original thoughts, suppressed emotion, and dull thinkers which could hardly contribute fresh new ideas to the org.

The brain is just like a muscle. Worked regularly it becomes strong and sharp. Thinking for most JW's

is work they don't do. They have been duped for so long into believing that allowing the org think and make decisions for them

is synonymous with loyalty to Jehovah, that they now suffer from mental atrophy when it comes to making spiritual decisions.

For example, any thinking persons would reason wait a minute, how do you harmonize their demanding unquestioned obedience

    with

(Psalm 146:3) . . .Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.

    (1 John 4:1)

Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

(Matthew 7:7-8) 7 "Keep on asking, and it will be given YOU; keep on seeking, and YOU will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to YOU. 8 For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking it will be opened.

Loyal JW's brains have been mushed so much and so long by the org that they can't even see simple and blantant contridictions to the bible.

Dark Angle, Mr. Flipper here. I had the opportunity to confront some elders on this article yesterday. Especially on the point late in the article where it says essentially what if the elders aren't in harmony or carrying out what the governing body says? Does that give reason for some to show insubordination to the elders? The article said witnesses should still obey and the biggest catch phrase on earth, ( leave it in Jehovahs hands and in time he will take care of it, show respect for Him and still obey.) I told the elders this was ridiculous counsel, and that God wants us to use our free will and concsience to make decisions. If the elders told you to jump off a cliff would you, I asked? Then I thought privately to myself, " God I hope these brainwashed elders do jump off a cliff" how evil of me!!!! LOL

I just looked that scripture luke 5:4,5 up and its when simon/peter had been fishing all night and jesus said lower your nets on the otherside.

surely the big difference is that only some money and maybe an empty belly until the next catch was at stake, not his entire livelihood and LIFE!!!

    flipper,

There is something about you that really draws smiles to my face. Every post you make results with a smile. It's your style. Your determination.

What you did is what I wish many who have been coming here, gaining truth and info, would do. Refute. Revolt. Review.

Tell me, was it scary? Did you feel it was the right thing to do? Walk me through what was going through you when you decided to confront them on this insanity that they were feeding you and the other members?

More importantly, do you feel an obligation to do what you did. I mean, did you do it for yourSELF or and did you hope that it may help just one other person in that hall?

I get angry when I hear those two words used in a sentence. They must be having problems with brain dead people there who are waking up out of their stupor and realizing they can't wrap their brain around the nonsense anymore.

Sounds like too many people are asking questions they either can't or won't answer. So, they are getting worried and have to generate articles like this which are designed to induce guilt in the gullible. In effect, they are telling people to forget all about it and shut up.
