I totally agree with you, carla. It is hard for non-JWs to know how controlled the JW life is. Sure, the nuttiness makes us shake our heads. But the cruelty that is taught to be 'love' is simply a form of control, and it seems utterly unbelievable.

I actually got an email from her the other day. Not surprisingly, she got an A+ on her paper. I guess the teacher was impressed with the amount of research she did and was apparently somewhat shocked even at some of the bizarre beliefs that the Witnesses have.
I feel good that I was able to help even a couple of people be aware of how dangerous the WTS is.
I was prepared to ask how it worked out. I don't know why I remember this
thread so well. I think it's because it is so anti-JW to go to school, and further
anti-JW to do some paper about JW's and absolutely anti-JW to use a
former JW for information. Hooray.
