The Watchtower system makes it easy to feel that one is never good enough. A person can never do good enough to really please Jehovah. And the truth is----they want people to feel needy so that they can only be around the "ark of salvation"----the Organization.
GB MEMBER Herd Says Just Because You're A JW It Doesn't Mean Anything!

Jesus said what he would to with anyone who would withhold the Kingdom from the innocents. I remember something about millstones. Sounds a bit like a Mafia execution, don't you think?

Embrace your angry emoticon, jgnat.
The WT has proven themselves to be:
child hating, family dividing, money grubbing, lying, pedophile protecting, two faced, lovers of money, masters of spin and WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING THEY HAVE EVER PREDICTED.
They have our families.
They are a cult, cult, cult.
Doesn't it feel good to just say it? -

Of course this also applies to the GB, which is your favorite 70%?

Maybe we could start a letter-writing campaign, in blue envelopes, listing the 7/10 GB members we'd like to see in Paradise with us. And the three we wouldn't.

Oh, right. They'll be sitting on the spare thrones around the glassy sea.
So we'll tell them which bible worthy we'd rather see around the throne than them.

In the mid 90s there was the "new light" regarding the separating of the sheep and goats. The new light has something to do with the separating work not occurring until after the GT.
A bethelite made a comment at the WT in the form of an illustration. A zealous elder/C.O./pioneer makes it through the GT only to be judged unworthy to enter the new order. The reason is that his heart was not towards god. He only did those things to gain the favor of his fellow christians and not out of a motivation to please god. Thus god kills him. end of story.
I was on my way out at the time. To me the illustration was depressing and disscusting. I don't think anyone else was paying attention.

Reviewing what the WTS itself has said on this subject, as quoted numerous places above, there is only one conclusion to be drawn:
Watchtower's "You'll die at Armageddon" = Christendom's "You'll burn in hell."
It's all based on fear of dying.

If a zealous CO gets zapped, who can really make it? The person who is infirm and makes little meetings now? The Witness that can't go from house to house but you see shopping at Walmart? The pioneer that they call "phantom" because no one ever sees him in service? The elders that drive around the territory and talk rather than set the lead preaching? The baptized teen that secretly masturbates?? Who???

I had to install the WT cd for this one to see if I remembered it correctly. Zephaniah 2:2,3 ends with "Probably you may be congealed :) in the day of Jehovah's anger."
That was one that bugged me way, way back and I felt that it applied to those the were "real" witnesses so what kind of chance did I have anyway. None. Here, you do this, this, this and this and if you NEVER screw up along the way, then MAYBE the big guy will see what he can do for you. Now get out of my sight.
Ah, maybe it was just me.
