I've heard variations of this experience before.

JWs are no different than any other bunch of people who believe every email, parable or experience that comes to them third or fourth hand. It's like those Jesus saved me stories that fundies like to tell.

This story has got so many holes in it it could pass for Swiss cheese! You notice this is repeated 5th-, 6th-hand at best!

This part would have been more believable if he'd said, "WTF! My wife is going around town knocking on doors peddling this crap and getting cussed out by strange guys? I don't think so! From now on you're staying home like a good little mob wife should, or I'll break your legs!"

It does sound like a wild made up story that the JWs are capable of concocting but a JW listening to it it may sound true and fill them with pride and trust for their religion. Though it is accused so much look how much good it does it reformed a hardened criminal, it has to be powerful and true.

How many times has it happened where somebody yelled at you and you were crying about it that night? Did you ever write down the address of somebody who wasn't interested? If a mafia boss came to your door would you 1. know he was a mafia boss? or 2. be happy to see him? It's quite the load...
