i think some honest full disclosure on the true scope of the watchtowers financial and real estate holdings would open a few eyes.
they ask for money and encourage you to give " if your heart moves you to" then go on to say how badly funds are needed, when in actuality its wealth rivals many other religions. anyone ever seen pics of patterson and of falwells compound? not much difference.
also , publicity on their political movements within european and other humanitarian organizations would also be eye opening . we've seen scattered proof of this here and there, a pulled together report on that would be good.
the financial statement posted here on jwd was shameful.. all those millions of dollars in their hands and only a little over 1000 dollars spent on actual charitable works .. tsk tsk tsk.. financial statements from all the 200+ countries jw's are in would be horrifyingly shameful to most jws.
doctrine, the pedophilia scandals, the flip flops......... most are tolerated by jws ..but booooooooy oh boy, show them where the money goes and i bet a big percentage would flip out.

A number of years ago, Mr Scully and I had the pleasure of having Jim Penton stay in our home for several days when he was in town on business.
If he is privy to highly sensitive information that he believes will prove to be earth-shattering to the Watchtower Society, I am definitely interested to know what it is. But I can certainly wait until Barb Anderson has all her ducks in a row in order to have it published.

Though these three big hitters are 'out' now for a long time is not of significance to me. Being away from the organization does not prevent them from having inside contacts that may be in a position to reveal where the house of cards is starting to shift.
Further - I agree that if Penton believes it significant - it likely is significant. Further importance may be laid upon us to make sure that this information is 'out there' when it becomes available. BTW - the importance of the settlements can still be played upon in the press. That story can be tied into letters to the local papers right now dealing with the Catholic settlements this past few days. We can all help to strangle the WTS over time.
