Orgull,
Welcome aboard to this den of evildoers board of really good folks.
Since you have to go to meetings for the time being, at least you have this forum for a counterbalance.
And to prepare to survive the Sunday WT Study, I highly recommend reading Blondie's weekly inspection report called "Things You Won't Hear at the Watchtower Study".
Welcome Orgull.
I'm really glad you found the board. It's a real life saver.
It's great to talk with people who have similar experiences and can help each other.
I look forward to your posts and hearing how you feel as you learn more and more.
Look forward to reading more of your posts. I remember the shock when I found this site. I could not believe so many others felt like me. It was like a miracle. So, as arrowstar would say..."Pull up a chair. Put your feet up and make yourself at home. What'll you have to drink?"
welcome to the board..
and its ok you haven't left the organization yet.. there are others here who are still attending, some, although they no longer believe, they still want their family or friends in thier lives. The most important thing is to research and learn, so you are doing things because they are right for you, or what you believe, not because you are a robot following direction..
Welcome Orgull!!
Yes, you are not alone. I can tell you that if not for this place, I truely be a mess right now (ok, maybe I'm a little bit of a mess but it could be so much worse).
Look forward to hearing more from you.
Welcome to JWD, Orgull!
I'd rather have questions I can't answer, than answers I can't question.
Enjoy the freedom to be.
Welcome!
And I'm still going to the meeting tomorrow night because I'm not ready to give up my friends.
Unfortunately, you will soon find that they are not your friends. They are friendly only because you are one of many. Sooner or later you will have to give up the lie, and they will disown you. Think of it this way, as you start to learn more and more about the lies, and eventually pull the curtain away to reveal the wizard, will you still be able to preach death (sometimes physical - blood doctrine - but more so mental)? Its great your looking, but I would suggest that you start to build friendships on the outside so that your not completely hanging out in the wind when you finally decide enough is enough...
Welcome to the board Orgull.
Now that you've dared to post on a forbidden message board, will you take the next step and read the book Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz, the former Governing Body member who was disfellowshipped?
Keep on digging and you'll see how deep the rabbit hole goes!
