I knew a few elders who felt they had a responsibility to kind of put intelligent sisters in their place
Unfortunately, those sisters are, for the most part, still in the congregation. Wait. I do know a few, once I thought about it, who are out now! All right!!

A lot of women were smarter than their elder husbands. And I recall a few single in their 40's women who were never going to be intimidated by anyone----either male or female.

I think my wife is the most intelligent "sister" in my congregation. She irks the crap out of a particular elder know-it-all and will give it right back to him, if need be.

I can't recall any particularly intelligent JW women in the ex congo they were all pretty much the submissive JW type, none had any university education or were outstanding in intelligence or had assertive personalities.
