Last time I checked this was JWD not a kingdumb hall, you don't get reprimanded if you don't show up, if you check out other boards, if you don't put in enough hours, yadda, yadda yadda.
I've checked out other DB's and I happen to like this one as far as exJdub DB's go. The others that I've seen are either to imature or too religious.

I belong to like 7 or 8 Ex JW boards.I'm a mod on one and admin of my own(it was given to me).My board is dead though.My first board was JWF.From there I joined JWD.All though I don't read here or post here much I still like JWD.My home board was JWO(the board that shall not be mentioned LOL!!).I still read JWO but I don't think of it as my home board anymore.I've been reading here more and more lately.On all the other boards it seems like it's all the same people at all of them.Here I have a chance to talk to or read and get to know more people.Here I get to read people who are not on those other boards.
I love to read.I like reading the boards because I get a chance to see life with other peoples eyes.I also have a ton of time each week on my hands.I only work 3 night a week and I take the rest off.
I think I know who started this new board.I didn't see the thread so I'm not for sure this persons board is the one in this thread.I think the board your all taking about was started by a poster on JWO whom I wouldn't trust with any personal information.He's a huge troll on JWO.I believe this new board everyones talking about is Ironglands board.Anyone who knows anything about this person wouldn't post on his board.IMHO

Noni..I like this board because when my hubby was dying I came to the boards for support as he and his family were still JW's and I had it pretty rough with them ...(I had left long ago).
On "The other board" there were a few that claimed I was lying to get attention and pity. I was so hurt I came here only after that. I received so much caring and support I cannot even begin to tell you how much. They helped me all through the diagnosis..treatment..and finally his death. I received much valuable information to help in dealing with the Drs...hospitals ..and a lot of the legal papers I had to fill out and sign.(Because of the No-Blood issue).
This has been my board and I will never forget how much they helped me. I used to sit and read the heartfelt posts with tears streaming down my face. I had no one else to go to then. I had to stay at home constantly as I was his primary caregiver ..he could not be left alone for one minute.When he did sleep I was able to check in for a while and let out some pain. They were wonderful here.
If I had to choose just one board to go to..it would be this one.Censor and all..
NotaNess..The problem isn`t a new board..It`s the idiot running it!!..We have fellow posters here,that have their own board.....They are not disreaspectfull to this board..They are part of our community.....SexualChocolate or what ever his name is now,made no effort to respect our cyber community on JWD.....He wants what we have,but has no idea how to aquire it..He thinks a board like JWD is something you can "Take"..It`s not..It`s something you earn..Untill he learns this,he will never have a board like this of his own...OUTLAW
Getting into silly tit-for-tat exchanges accomplishes nothing other than wastes time and I for one have much better things to be doing with mine.

I know Snoozy.I've read about it before.The support offered here is wonderful.People here are great.I found that out when my Grandpa died.This board was the only place I felt like posting about my feelings.There was a time when I would have done that on JWO but not now.I must have out grown that board.
I do believe that different boards can and should co-exist, without the mud-slinging between each other. As I see it, there are at least 4 different markets for exJW's: (1) Those who like no censorship whatsoever and are willing to put up with a lot of bashing from other posters, (2) those who like a civil board without the bashing but like to swear a bit and put somewhat racy posts up, (3) those who are more civil still, and are offended by swearing and dirty pictures and jokes, and (4) those who want a more Christian forum.
As I see it, no one board can fulfill all these markets. But, when one board pits itself against the others, their is usually a lot of senseless fighting. And that's what the Watchtower Society likes to see and showcase. I do believe that the new board has a potential to develop into a good exJW site, but not if they are going to blatantly rival this one, or the other boards. That will go big for a while, and then the inevitable trolls will show up and dominate the board. If the administration doesn't act to delete the trolls and spambots, it will end up being dead. And, as has been said, people will end up coming right back to the board that they bashed on that forum--even with the problems it has (no board is perfect, and no board can be perfect for all markets).
Yes, I would like to see more exJW boards on the Internet. But I would like to see more of them cooperate with each other. There is plenty of mud to be slung at the Watchtower Society. And I personally like seeing more boards that sling mud at that criminal organization. I hope that board does succeed like this one did (this board didn't become huge by p*$@ing everyone off). But, if there is nothing but mud-slinging at other forums, then it will not. I personally will wait to see how it turns out before joining them, since I would rather have most or all the mud I sling hit the Watchtower Society.
I go where I find interesting topics. For the most part, that's here.
