Patrick Stewart is also in the Dune movie as Gurney. There was a special extended version of the movie that was much better than what they released in the theaters.

did you know he wrote soylent green? don't know the book, only the movie that got made out of, that book not funny though... bluebell

The book was "Make Room, Make Room"....movie was ok, book of course better....

The extended Dune movie made more sense...the mini-seris held closer to the book...

"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" is a good read...Heinlien at his best...sadly his "The Puppet Masters" and "Starship Troopers" were lame attempts as movies..."the Puppet Masters" being the better of the two in my opinion...lost interest in Heinlien after "Stranger in a Strange Land"...

Sci-fi was my escape from a mundane life...I read so much sci-fi between the age of 15 and 25 can't remember 3/4 of what I read...had those ACE and Ballentine paper backs stashed everywhere...loved the art work as well...

Short list of authors.....Gordon R. Dickerson...Andre Norton...Edgar Rice Burroughs...Otis Adelbert Kline(contempery of Burroughs)Harry Harrison...Keith Laumer...Julian May...H. Beam Piper...Heinlien, of course...and memory fails...I soaked it up......was into historical novels too...as a jw there had to be some kind of release...I may have been a true beliver, but couldn't read two paragraphs of a jw book before I zoned out...Aid book was the only wt publication I could read and stay awake...
