Rise above it Jeff and forget about it. Things have a way of working themselves out, and her day of reckoning will come, sooner or later.

one of the things that pisses me off the most........ is how anything....... even the slightest negative thing will be pounced on by those basturds and will be so called PROOF that they are better than you and that theres nothing but vomit outside the borg. \
i refuse to do things according to THEIR rules..... and i pity them...........both things they cant comprehend or understand.
Yep, she doesn't deserve you, no doubt about it.
I've just noticed a pattern - the shunning eventually only hurts when it comes from somebody like her, or the two-faced elders. I get some really stupid shunning - a gay sister, who has lived with different JW girlfriends for years, and their relationships always break down when her partner wants to come out. She shuns all of her exes too. She shuns everybody who has ever known exactly what's going on and helped her keep it covered up, but then decided they don't want to be witnesses any more.
Ex-flatmates whose escapades are worthy of a Sex in the City episode, all shun me. My sister who deliberately miscarried her baby shuns me. My brother-in-law who beats up my other sister and their kids shuns me and would give my sister hell if she talked to me. My childhood best friend who at age 19 decided to sexually assault a 16-year-old boy, covered it up for years, has never faced police action, he shuns me.
Coming from somebody who has actually walked the line, it just hurts to never be forgiven. Coming from these people though, it's baffling and maddening.
Jeff,
Sorry that she did that to you. Let the water roll off your back, she isn't worth getting upset over. (I know, easier said than done)

Jeff- Hugs from Mr. and Mrs. Flipper, bro. I know the feeling. They are so weird. You don't know if you are coming or going sometimes. A year ago my older elder brother said I was not welcome in his house till I come back to Jehovah, then a week ago my wife and I go to support my brother and my witness mother through an operation at the hospital, and he and dubbie wife get out of their waiting room seats and hug Mrs. Flipper and I like we were long lost relatives ( which we are) but I gave him kind of a half hug , wondering if he would bite me !! Personally, I think all Jehovah's Witnesses are psychotic !! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. But, bro, hang in there, we all love ya man, and the great contributions you always make on this board ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
Jeff,
Shortly after being booted I was "shunned" by three brothers: I came home and told my family that these three had shunned me. Also, I said, there were two commonalities with the three:
THEY HAD ALL BEEN DF'ED FOR ADULTRY
and
THEY WERE ALL SHUNNING ME BECAUSE I WAS A "TRUTH-TELLER.'
Hey, bro, only in a cult would this kind of thing happen.
Your experience: another "cost of freedom" debit on you tab.
Hang tough and, seriously, you are in better company.....even including people like me. :-)
Later,
V
They're like flies on shit, hardly worthy of your notice.

Sometimes, I stop concerning myself and consider the ultimate freedom of expression that being
DF'ed/DA'ed would bring. But Jeff, is that ultimate freedom like financing a new car? You know- it
feels great for awhile then you see the payments?
Great question. Not to me. The freedom is worth it all - but there are expenses that come with that new car indeed.
Gotta go - short time. Just wanted to say thanx to all that showed understanding. I am fine - just get a little pissed by the superior attitude of these flunkies at times. Thanx all.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Ak-Jeff)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Sorry for the affect the shunning has on you, I understand it is an awful feeling. When it's someone you took pains to be kind to under similar circumstances and they act so ignorant it really is a double blow. But I think the whole shunning thing becomes just a public display for them to inflict pain or try to hurt others. SInce she was with 'friends' they no doubt had to make it seem like a really big display. Then there are people who are just cruel at heart and the borg gives them an "Out" for their hateful ways.

Hey dude chill out.
What else is new? I'm inviting you yo come over and have a beer, do some chilling out so we can laugh at these matters instead of getting upset.
It's a long ways across the big pond, but what the hell.
