Mrs. Flipper cooked us a nice meal of sauteed halibut in wine, garlic, and basil. Nice salad, brown rice, Chardonnay to drink and Rocky Road ice cream and Moosetracks ice cream for dessert. Make ya hungry ? Yum! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Why do people drink sodas/soft drinks which are poor and junky imitations of fruit juices rather than drink the real thing, the juice itself?

Love the fizz We do have a brand of soft drink here (can't remember what it's called) that's half fruit juice and half soda water. It's nice too.

I just got home from grocery shopping. After working all day, then shopping and having to wait 45 minutes for a taxi, I'm ordering pizza!

Well its breakfast time here again, and I am enjoying my large Tim Horton's coffee, boy, the rest of the world is missing out! It's the best coffee, ever!

Greendawn, do you promise I will live forever and never grow old if I give up junky imitations of fruit juices?

    Didn't think so.

For dinner tonight, its baked salmon with greek spices and lemon. Corn on the cob and some sauteed asparagus.

Dessert will be fruit salad with dark chocolate dipping sauce. I am PMSing Greendawn, dont' even go there about the chocolate.

So, it ended up being a rum & coke night instead of the beers.

    Healthy right?

Last night was Monday Night Football, and dinner with a good buddy of mine. Went to the store and got T-bone steaks, and Texas Toast. Then I came home seasoned up my T-bones with salt, and Montreal Steak Seasoning and a little olive oil. Seared them in a red hot skillet, then backed off the temp and cooked them right in the skillet. Put Baked Potatoes in the oven with vegetable oil and salt on their shells, and then we ate, like men at a steakhouse. The menu:

16 oz T-bone steak seasoned and served with A1

Baked Potato with butter and sour cream (no margarine here folks, that stuff will kill ya)

    2 piece of Texas Toast

    Miller High life bottles

Last night was one of the best meals I've had in a VERY long time. My buddy was also thrilled with his. We were planning on going to a steakhouse last night, but instead just hung out at my place watched the game and ate LOTS cheaper.

Amen to that, Bluesbreaker59. You can't beat a nice meal and nice company to go along with it.

Tonite we will have baked boneless/skinless chicken breasts, brown rice with gravy and young peas! I hope hubby didn't forget to take out the chicken breasts. If he did we'll be having cereal!

Man I hate this paranoid "hiding fader" stuff!

All I can say is I made it and the family loved it.

It's a fairly unusual dish and if anyone in my area read what it was, I'd probably be "outed".

It's all gone! Musta been good!

*Pats self on back. Trying to apply the "housework is sexy" advice I've read on other threads.*
