You know, the Mormons have been doing this for decades. Each household has to have enough provisions for everyone in the family for an entire YEAR! Makes you wonder what three days is supposed to do.
I'm finding out where the local mormons live. IF there is a disaster, I'll go an convert to mormonism on the spot. LOL

BABA YAGA- Yeah, Baba. I thought it was weird too ! When my son told me about it, I immediately thought of the Mormon's . Next thing you know the witnesses will start banning caffeine ! It's probably the only thing keeping them awake at their meetings !
OOMPA- That is funny stuff! Sounds like your wife is as fanatical as my ex wife was and is ! So it sounds like you live in a forested area too ! Think I'd still pack that gun for protection from those crazy-a$$ witnesses though ! Never know what they'd try if you were fleeing the forest !
SASS MY FRASS- Yes, I agree with you Sass. It drives me nuts too shopping for food before Thanksgiving or Christmas ! People act like they'll just be famished and stock up like they are going to feed an army ! Then the lines move at a ' s pace ! Ridiculous !
GILL- Wow! Your dad even keeps food in the car ? Does he still have leftovers from the 1970's ? Hope it's not stuff that should be refrigerated ! Food poisoning city !
MRS. SMITH- Yes, I know what you mean. I'm a real stickler on checking dates on labels too, on canned items, bottled items, and milk. I drive my wife nuts with it ! But hey, we never get food poisoning !
MARY- Yes. It is so funny and sick at the same time how paranoid the witnesses are ! They are so controlled by the cult they would do ANYTHING, and I mean that ! All I can say is after , like you said, their predictions don't come true, there will be a lot of leftover food going to waste that the homeless could have ! It will be interesting to see all these false expectations progressing on through the years !
MRS. WITNESS- So, they did get this information at a Thursday night meeting ? I'm sure it just tickled you pink to be on the " elder call list " ! LOL! We should all be so lucky ! Ecch! Don't let the elders take care of your mom and dad though. They might make em' drink poison coolaid ! Or coffee or tea !
SIRONA- Yeah, we should all just abscond with all of the Mormon's food ! They've got plenty, wouldn't mind sharing !
