Very sad!
I don't have kids, but if I did I would be very strict about computer use. I would have seperate user accounts for kids, and they'd be locked down. The computer would be in a common area, rather than in the kids room. I'd have a keylogger installed so I could monitor every keystroke, mouse click, and web site that had been visited. There would be time restrictions on the computer as well.
I once made the mistake of allowing online friends to become more important than family and friends in real life. It was a very costly mistake, and some of the effects are irreversible. Never again...
