How Were The Elders In Your Hall?

Of all the hounders I have been with, only one was even close to being respectable. The others all had a conspiracy against my finding female companionship and would stop at NOTHING to stop me from finding it. They were unreasonable, expecting more out of me than out of the others (one even wanted me alone to take care of the Kingdumb Hell expenses to spare the other "brothers"--why would I have such love for a bunch of uncaring freeloading leeches like that). They would not mind their own businesses--and they were strictest about otherwise innocuous activities with the opposite sex (like getting a ride home after the book study).

What about the one that was halfway decent? The others were like a pack of vultures trying to keep me from getting any benefit, making every possible rule to keep me from entertaining his kids (with such things as toys and candy). They ultimately reproved him after driving him out of the territory for some bullsxxx. That cut me off from that, and from then on there was really no reason for me to have stayed a Witless.

One of them faked taking their place. This was a blatant fake, since he wanted more to control me than anything else. He was prepared to go as far as taking me in as one of his, which he might still try if I disassociate myself (after pretending the disassociation never happened) or he sees my Christmas tree all lit. This is the one that actually made a RULE at the a$$emblies that I just meet other men, and I have visited the place enough to know how boring it is. This is also the same family that gave up cable TV and cut way back on income to pioneer. And, after the all-men rule, it became totally blatant that he was no replacement to the one that they drove away from me.

In effect, they all live up to their title. HOUNDERS.

When I was attending meetings without Lenny there were elders that were really concerned for me and would try to help me stay with the Borg. They had known us both for a long time so they knew some of the sh*t we had been through. Then, I moved to a new congregation in a rural area. Most of the people in that hall didn't know me or Lenny but there was one elder there that only had one thing on his mind. Find out why Lenny wasn't coming. He didn't have much to say to me but would always ask, can I call Lenny? or visit him? I knew Lenny was not coming back, he had found his way out reading Ray's books & discovering the truth about the wt. The rest of the elders there were just country men. Just following the cult without really helping anyone. The jerk elder is an ex bethelite.

Sorry for posting that twice, I forgot to tell you it was me, not Lenny.

    Karen, Lenny's wife.
