If the police say such and such a thing, do you tend to automatically believe it?

I don't automatically believe it. I wait to hear more before I accept what they say.
Is this regarding the recent police shooting of a jail gaurd?

I trust the music group Police, more than I actually trust the police. Of course I love music

Whether you trust what someone says comes down to motive and vested interests etc... For instance, if the Police tell me that the road is closed because the bridge is dangerous then why would I not believe them? Why would they lie? When the police commissioner Ian Blair tells me that someone they just shot on a train was a terrorist then I have to question if he really was because they have a reason to lie - they could have just murdered an innocent civilian and covered it up. The same with situations on this forum - people can chose to trust and believe what we say about different situations and what has gone on or they can chose not too. It all comes down to looking at who is saying what and deciding whether someone has a *reason* to lie about anything and any vested interest. Very often, people telling lies make mistakes and will, for instance, claim to have been deleted yet will have made a post *after* the claim (thus showing that they are lying). We rarely take action or get involved in things that are off-forum but if there are facts that we can look at (eg. a threatening / abusive PM) then we will take action and say why. Often people then go off and try and paint a different version of events and any onlookers have to decide who to believe based on the facts and history of those involved. Some people do seem to believe everything they read though (hey, I guess that's why they were in the WTS!) I hope this answers your latest 'subtle' question minimus.

I no longer trust anything or ANYBODY unless I have seen or heard it for myself. Everything in life is learned. And I have learned and been taught extremely well by the borg to NOT to believe a $^&%% thing again on someone elses say!!! Is that what you wanted to know???? Do you believe it? Do you trust it?
