I, for one, really like Dawg. He is one of my favorites on the board. Maybe because I, also, am an in your face kinda poster.
The forum needs lots of different personalities and types to make it operate.

I consider that I have already recieved enough support over this subject to consider your feeble attempts at insult to mean nothing to me. As has already been rasied... the issue of silly imature posts from obviously insecure people, such as... am i a bimbo, should I have a tattoo etc etc.
As you acknowledged yourself at the end of your post.... I made my point.

Just so we're crystal clear here...I did not intend to hound you for your opinion.
On another vein, favorable is a word from the dictionary, not one of the invented dub words. Be careful about passing judgement on me and which guidebook I use, and I will do the same for you. The book I read from has not been invented yet, but I see I need to add a chapter about how to not notice something good in change someone chooses to make within. On second thought...I'll leave that one out.
I do respect that you view things differently, perhaps someone wanted to change you? I'd rather never change another soul, that is for them to do.

I too, saw a gradual change in Dawg's approach to things as time went on. I have even seen changes in my own approach to things, thanks to the insights from various posters on the board.
I've even had little spats with people on threads that got ironed out through PM's. This all has helped me grow and understand the way other people think.
This "understanding" is one of the greatest ways this very board has helped me grow ever since I left the JW's.
And Dawg and I had a great offline series of conversations going, even though we never had an argument. Dawg and I are quite different people, but here we became friends (to the extent possible for a couple guys who only conversed through this forum).
I was going to PM you, Shell, but decided to continue in public, because I want to bring up that I do agree with you in a way, as well. For people who have left the org and have gone through the process of finding out who they really are, no one should try to change that. But for someone who is trying to figure that out, of their own accord, and in so many ways asks for some input, who are we to deny our opinions, having been through it?
How do we learn anything? Sometimes it is by being told what others think, then it is our responsibility to decide who's we choose to take in and learn from, and which ones we do not.
To say we should not give input says that we should not do the very thing forums are for, sharing ideas and experiences as well as points of view.
As in your case, you are happy with who you are, no one should try to change it. In my case...maybe I'm not, and I appreciate the observations of some around me about changes I make. Some I do not, but who's responsibility is that to decide?

Can you under stand that I find it insulting to the intellignece of already bashed up human beings for any of us on this board to claim any kind of credit for adjusting theyre way of thinking?
If a person here chooses to take on board anothers opinion, is it not a private and personal matter. Lets not demeen people anymore than we have already been by publicly advertising the fact that the person has changed and its down to so and so, and so and so's input.
None of us here is any wiser than the next man.

Do you not see that even Dawg understands and was flatered by my thread?
Do you not see that this thread was not about YOU or ME?
And why are you bringing up some of my other threads that have nothing to do with this one? What have I done or said to make you so hateful towards me?
Some of my threads are serious, some are fluff. Last I heard there was room on this board for diversity.
Your insults and insistance on hijacking this thread and turning it into something ugly have really upset and hurt me.
