It can be proven!" demons have developed a kind of unreal, scape-goat for humanity mystique. as "thinking" individuals, we can and do find our own way of influencing each other that we are accountable for...in a purely moral sense. but aside from that, the real issue remains...the purpose of the act in relation to the purpose of God and mankinds need for Salvation...(from himself? or satan's influence? or both?) love michelle

One example of the WTS's vacillation on this subject is "guardian angels." Until 1974 the teaching was that angels would actually provide physical protection for true worshippers; in 1974 that was changed to mean only 'spiritual' protection.

For example, as late as 1970 there was this personal experience:

This is a hard theory to maintain, and gets harder every time a perfect candidate for angelic protection ends up dead. Bad things DO happen to faithful witnesses, even extremely vital ones, even while in some form of service. Remember last year when a small plane carrying 5 Regional Building Committee overseers crashed, killing all of them? The plane was traveling to quick build project meeting. Where were THEIR guardian angels? [inkling]

This is the way it was explained at a kh meeting: The reason why fortune tellers are always women is because the demons like women and give them special powers so they can have angel sex with them.
