*** km 10/72 p. 8 Question Box ***What is meant by "some years ago" on page 170, paragraph two, in the "Organization" book? This indicates more than a year or two. It may be noted that it did not say "many years ago." So it is not an exact number of years, but more like two or three years. It was not intended to have a brother go back into the distant past to bring up wrongs of which he repented years ago and that have evidently been forgiven by Jehovah and are not being practiced now. In many cases the wrongs occurred prior to the time when the "Watchtower" drew attention to what the Scriptures say on such misconduct.

If a brother has been serving faithfully for some years and has seen evidence of Jehovah’s blessings upon him, why should he now step down from office? If he has the right viewpoint now on conduct and will give good counsel he should be able to continue to serve. If the local body of elders see that he has the respect of the congregation and has shown the proper qualifications over the last two or three years, he may remain in his position of service.

Must wrongdoing be brought to public attention after many years? The book (page 168) under "Public Reproof" quotes 1 Timothy 5:20 and mentions reproof of those who confess to committing more than one offense. But it really has to do with recent events. The "Interlinear" refers to those "sinning," something going on at the time. So if repentance occurred some years ago, three years ago or more, and sinning ceased, and he is respected by the congregation, it is not necessary now to publicly reprove one who committed more than one offense "some years ago."

What I found most disturbing was the statement (paraphrased, as I don't recall the exact wording) "Salvation can only be achieved thru the Watchtower organization". Not Jesus, Jehovah, but WATCHTOWER. Talk about exalting oneself. Very much felt like they felt like they deserved praise. There was a LOT of focus on "The organization" this assembly, more than I thought was right when balanced with JESUS and GOD.

Let's all start Myspace accounts for individual halls. The best page wins our admirations and applause.

The PO at my Hall has made a point of using the term "Christian Congregation" when referring to what used to be known as "The Society".

For example, he will say, "We have received information in letters from the Christian Congregation about how to handle matters such as this." So I guess the term Society is out, and "Christian Congregation" is in.

I like the idea about the My Space accounts for congregations. I wonder how hard it would be to set up an anonymous presence to create these accounts? Ooh!, and then you could have other congregations set up as Friends, with links to each one, etc. The boys in Crooklyn would be spinning in circles over that one!

No drinks on dates! Hell, JWs need about 5 or 7 doubles to loosen up, never mind 1 drink, and you'll be back seat screwing.

How many drinks does one require to attend assemblies and be berated by a WTS flunky? As many as one can sneak in between brow-breating lectures. I'd recommend a pint of overproof for starters and see how things progress.

    *** w93 9/15 p. 22 They Compassionately Shepherd the Little Sheep ***

But if we were to draw away from Jehovah’s organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation and true joy. (Compare John 6:66-69.)

    *** w90 11/1 p. 26 par. 16 Our Relative Subjection to the Superior Authorities ***

As Christians, we face up to similar challenges today. We cannot take part in any modern version of idolatry—be it worshipful gestures toward an image or symbol or the imputing of salvation to a person or an organization. (1 Corinthians 10:14; 1 John 5:21) And like the early Christians, we cannot compromise our Christian neutrality.—Compare 2 Corinthians 10:4.

    *** w85 3/1 p. 22 par. 21 Jehovah ‘Speeds It Up’ ***

! Let us point all homing “doves” to the way of “salvation” behind the protective walls of Jehovah’s organization and increase “praise” to him at its gates.

    *** w81 11/15 p. 21 par. 18 ‘Stay Awake and Keep Your Senses’ ***

And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation, the time no doubt will come when the message takes on a harder tone, like a “great war cry.” Revelation 16:21 shows that “a great hail with every stone about the weight of a talent [nearly 100 pounds] descended out of heaven upon the men, and the men blasphemed God due to the plague of hail, because the plague of it was unusually great.”

    *** w68 11/1 p. 650 par. 24 The “Good News” of a World Without False Religion ***

Only the one organization of religious truth and of pure, undefiled religion can successfully make an assault on false religion with benefit to the people, with promise of their everlasting salvation. This “congregation of the living God,” this spiritual Israel, was not to be like the ancient nation of natural circumcised Israel and stay isolated to itself in its God-given Promised Land, as it were

    *** w67 8/15 p. 499 par. 4 The Way to Security ***

The unintentional manslayer in Israel did not flee abroad, leaving his country, but headed for the city of refuge, which belonged to the nonpriestly Levites; the city of Hebron belonged to the Aaronic priests. This signifies that the provision of salvation is closely connected with Jehovah’s organization. A remnant of the spiritual priestly class is still on earth today, forming the nucleus of the congregation of Jehovah’s people. We cannot ignore the role the visible congregation of Jehovah’s witnesses plays in this provision of salvation.

    *** w67 8/15 p. 503 par. 19 The Way to Security ***

If we want to assure our everlasting salvation, we must stay within the bounds of Jehovah God’s loving provision associated with his visible organization, presided over by his High Priest.

The last talk went over everything. The District Overseer got really angry and asked why they were having these talks every year and smacked his hand on the platform and said "BROTHERS!!! YOU ARE NOT LISTENING, MANY OF YOU ARE REBELIOUS!"

What is the name of this idiot?
