Bush should be in jail, plain and simple...and Reagan is no icon just becasue you have a few photos of him standing before a flag...

I consider both of them traitors as they both sold out the American people. It's sad when you see how brainwashed so many are, even after exiting the JW's.

    I agree with you Swalker...

And to worldtraveler... I've explained why I think those that have supported the Republicans hate america, they have only attacked my character without answering the questions... its my opinion backed up with facts....so I don't care that you harbor that opinion, maybe you should answer why a person who puts party or men they have admiratoin for over country love it? Becasue I think I've done a great job explaining why they clearly do NOT love their country. WIthout that, your post is meaningless to me.... again, typical attacks on character when you that make those same attacks can't back up your position with facts....it means you have no argument. have a nice day!

To those interested in the misery index I am referring to, check this out. To get to the one I am referring to, you have to scroll down to an article written on February 22nd, 1999 titled "REAGAN VS. CLINTON: WHO'S THE ECONOMIC CHAMP" by Robert J. Barro.

Ha I kind of like Burntheships replies, they're humorous. Anyways I agree Dawg, republicans can never clearly point to tangible things Reagan did that was good. Oh I forgot "Star Wars" was so worth our time. So was invading Panama. Must I keep bringing up that Reagan only won the presidency because of Jesse Helms? What did Jesse Helms play on to get Southern states to go for Reagan? Racism. Who stood behind Helms? Reagan. It wasn't until Helms quite on Reagan because of failed policies that Reagan distanced himself. Even after that Reagan still returned the favor to Helms in a awkward meeting in North Carolina. Reagan would have jumped at a chance to invade Iraq if he would have had it. Lets not forget the Reagan administration was the one who sold Iraq it's so called WMD's.

I think the myth that needs debunking is that we conservatives are 'cold hearted' for wanting folks to be responsible for themselves if at all possible and that the Libs are somehow 'compassionate' for keeping people dependant on the REAL opiate that is deluding the masses; government largess stole from one segment of the populace to buy the support of another segment.

Of course people should be responsible for themselves. But there are times when people need a hand up. Especially the mentally ill and the very ill. Remember Bill Clinton did some welfare reform. He's a democrat. Cold hearted? This newer breed of Republican leaders are the coldest of them all. Example: the republican party is big on right to life but small on helping out those mammas and their babies once they are here and big on turning around Roe vs. Wade but not so big on birth control and education to prevent pregnancies.....religious right. It's the the there will always be poor and the elite and that's just how the cookie crumbles.

Hey, burn the ships, I heard Reagan used a body double for that denim picture.

And yes, I agree with the poster who thinks the monkey was a better actor.

My daughter was a toddler when Reagan was in office. She used to call him Preg-ident Raisin.

Oh and Dawg, you restore my faith in southern men. Spread some of that ability to think around down there and help get Georgia out of the red.

I just read where military expenditures are expected to top 1 trillion dollars in '08. A trillion f'ing dollars! Talk about government largess stolen from one segment of the populace (joe taxpayer) to buy the support of another (Dick Cheney's already obscenely rich military-industrial complex buddies).

I see you are not aware of the fallacy of a loaded question let me enlighten you.

I am perfectly aware of the fallacy, which is why I returned in kind to the poster I responded to. That the trolling entrapped you is humorous and telling.

but I'm really quite used to it... don't take it personal, but those that support policies that are destroying this country are NOT patriots.

Dawg, I am relieved to know that you are the Sole and Supreme Judge of what policies are actually Good For the Country.

It must be difficult being Master of the Universe and Overlord of Time and Space. I applaud you.
