Thanks flyinghighnow, I'm sure we will have a good vacation anyway this year.
As for the election being rigged, I do believe there may be some truth to that, at least here in Tennessee. Fred Thompson is still on the ballot here, even though he dropped out, I wonder how many people will still vote for him, thinking he has rejoined the race?
I voted absentee yesterday, and the whole process was flawed and confusing.

And a ballot should never be confusing.

I was definitely ticked off yesterday by the voting process. They have taken something that used to be so simple and made it much more complicated. I have been voting here in Tennessee for almost 12 years, and this is at least the 2nd time they have used the new computerized voter machines, but it was just like it was my first time voting.
I have lots of concerns and Im going to call the board of elections and get some answers. -

I think that if McCain or Huckabee win the nomination, it would probably be the end of the Republican party as we know it.

I'd like to see the Republican Party move back to candidates more like Gerald Ford or even Nixon, his tricky dickieness aside. I have some conservative views and would vote for a candidate like Gerald Ford.
We really do need more reform on the voting and ballot front. I naively thought there would be honesty with tabulating votes in something as important as the presidential elections. I am not sure the electoral system is the best system either.

They use the computerized thing here and it's easy as pie and they will even have a lady come show you what to do if you can't figure it out. There's a touch screen and you hit the person's name and then next ....
I really like HIllary myself but I'm afraid she couldn't win against the Republicans because so many hate her. I'm torn if I should vote for Obama or Hillary so that they could beat the Republican candidate.
I also can't stand McCain! He reminds me way too much of Bush... 100 more years in Iraq??! .. aahh! And I just hate his attitude!
I hope Romney wins the Republican candidate because I could almost deal with having him as president. I'm not too crazy about him being a Mormon either but I do like his ideas better than McCain. (Healthcare especially).

I guess so.
Darin is for Romney, I'm for Huckabee. He is for Romney because he believes he can win, not because he supports his idealogy.
I'm for Huckabee because I support his beliefs, irregardless if he can win.
If it came down to Romney and Hillary (or Obama), I probably wouldnt even vote.
McCain is a moderate, but I feel he is at least genuine in that respect. Romney chooses his platform to fit his agenda at any particular moment.
I could vote for McCain, despite him being more left leaning, but I just cant support Romney. -

Let's face it JG, we are stuck with some stinker candidates all around.
