Wow, this is really cool. I was just thinking of starting a Beatles thread, er well, sometime much later.

no time to read all posts now but just had to say, last night with cocktails and popcorn, hubby and I had a Sing Along with Beatles "#1" double CD. We are total Beatlemanic's = our version of a perfect romantic evening. Yep, we know all the words, even the obscure bits.

Hard for me to have a Fav Album but Rubber Sole is up there with Revolver.

Stones are among our all time favorites too. I see there is a thread on them also....

I danced my first "slow song" to "hey jude".....still have fond feelings for that one.

My daughter gave me the Acorss the Univers soundtrack, so I am reliving my burried beatles history. Can't wait to see the movie.

My favorite is this little known song:

    I Will Lennon/McCartney

    Lyrics:
Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely life time
If you want me to I will

For if I ever saw you
    I didn't catch your name
    But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same

    Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
    Love you whenever we're together
    Love you when we're apart

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
    And you know I will
    I will
    Ooo, la

    What Goes On? Anomalies

Starts with a click. Maybe Ringo tapped out the count in, and it couldn't be trimmed without cutting into the "Who" at the start of the song.
    Not audible on CD version.
Note: I did not write or compile these anomalies. Please don't email me with new anomalies and please read the WGO Info page.

WORLD TRAVELLER- Great album choices. I loved all of their albums and songs too ! A Day in the Life was a classic ! Thanks for the u-tubes, I saved both of em'.

I AM CLEARED 2 LAND- Fab Faux , Beatles cover band ? Interesting. Out west here in California they have a group called " rain " who cover Beatles songs and perform, but they dress up like the Beatles . I went 2 years ago and saw a 3 and a half hour Paul McCartney concert in which he performed a lot of the Beatles songs from 1966 to 1970 with his band that plays with him- totally awesome !

ROBDAR- Great song picks ! Yes. I have the " Love " CD . My wife and I were listening to it this morning while playing scrabble ! Great re-mix of Beatles songs .

WATSON- Great songs ! I love Across the Universe. One of Lennon's best slow songs as a Beatle in my opinion.

EL KABONG- I'll be watchting ! LOL!

TINKER- I'm a Beatles nut too ! I agree Rubber Soul and Revolver were similar. In fact I think Rubber Soul was the stepping stone to Revolver .

WINGS- Slow dancing to Hey Jude ? Interesting. Across the Universe was great ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

(Tinker...was just going to call you...lol, this afternoon I picked up the "Imagine" book and starting reading out on the patio.) Wow, it's hard to pick for me but quickly, Revolver is probably my fave White, Rubber Soul, Sargent Pepper's, Abbey Road are all just as wonderful, impossible for me to give a ranking. Songs, what came first to mind was "In My Life." But there are too many others to list...I need to do laundry. I love the Beatles...and the Stones, Zep and Jimi Hendrix...so don't pigeonhole me!
