JUST HUMAN- Well if you are the all -time Beatles fan , then I run a close second then ! I too have all their albums , and at an antique store this last summer I bought a cool shot glass with them dressed in their " Sgt. Peppers outfits " painted on the glass . Crazy shot glass ran me $ 25.00 . If you go into antique stores you will notice any Beatles memorabilia is extremely expensive. There was an antique store out here in California I went to that had 4 Beatles bobbleheads of each Beatle dated from 1964 ! Asking price ? $ 850.00 total for all 4 ! And that was under market value of what they were worth ! I think the value in the book was like $1,200 to $ 1,400 or something. I do have a Beatles memorabilia price guide book on all the Beatles collectibles - so if you are ever curious what Beatles item you have is worth , just let me know and I'll look it up for you ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Heard about the new Beatles album? They've gone all Drum 'n' Bass...

AVASHAI- Yeah , that's true ! Only Ringo and Paul left. Maybe they could bring back Julian - John's son , and Dahni- George's son and do a reunion thing like Led Zeppelin did with John Bonham's son ! Nah, it would be too hard to replace both John Lennon and George Harrison ! It would never be the same ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

    Flipper,

It would be impossible for me to pick a favorite song by the Beatles -- I loved so many of them. Some of my favorites were A Day in the Life, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Across the Universe.

My favorite album by them is probably Abbey Road.

    Favorite Album

    Abbey Road

Why? The absolute top notch polished finishing album (while Let It Be was the last to be released in 1970, Abbey Road was the last album to be finished by the band themselves - Phil Specter had Let It Be in his project shelves) to a wonderful journey that they brought music from its teeny bopper years to those who truly love love music for what it truly is.

    Favourite Song

Think For Yourself - Rubber Soul

Why? The lyrics (below) and the fuzz bass.

I've got a word or two
To say about the things that you do
    You're telling all those lies
About the good things that we can have
    If we close our eyes

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you

    I left you far behind
The ruins of the life that you have in mind
And though you still can't see
I know your mind's made up
    You're gonna cause more misery

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you

    Although your mind's opaque
Try thinking more if just for your own sake
    The future still looks good
And you've got time to rectify
All the things that you should

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you

Hi mr flipper...don't worry I can give you my first place as a fanatic Beatle fun, because "with every mistake we must surely be learning"...at the moment I'm not after Beatles collectibles(kind of short of cash period) but for sure I would like to get some new staff. Although I 'm on the other side of the Atlantic (medditerenean sea, in an Island) for sure I would like to have some of the staff you said.

I wish I could get one of George's guitars, but I guess that would cost a lot of money that I can't afford to pay...I have a guitar similar to John Lennon's Epiphone, and in fact it was build in the 60's, so it is got that 60's touch.

Well for those who wish to see the remaining Beatles back again I don't think is a good idea. Specially since the dead of Harrisson. It is better not to do anything, just keep like that. To reunite the Beatles is not an easy task.

Personally I preffer the fact that they split back in the 70's, and it was the best time for them to do it, because they started to fade(musically speaking) They created a myth around their band, and this myth should stay like that.

The best band ever, that split and never formed again, not even for a concert. I don't want to think what would they be if they didn't split.Maybe like Rolling Stones, or Pink Floyd(bands that I like also a lot)doing concerts and live albums. Everything regarding the Beatles it was TIMING. They had the correct timing for everything, even when they ended up as a band.

It is hard to imagine the Beatles now without John and George. Each one of them contribute with their own personality to that band. Because the Beatles were not just a band. I mean there are much better guitarists from George, or drummers from Ringo. But they create a unique melodys and music that marked the short history of pop music. The future generations and musicians they can only feel the weight of the music that Beatles created and can feel the tremendous power the had over their fans. The Beatles they represent the generation of the 60's and the evolution of that generation that unfortunately went wrong.

For sure songs like "A day in the life" showing corruption of the political status, or the song "No Were Man" that it was written for the president of the U.S.A for the Vietnam war are songs that even after 40 years have the same meaning. Only the names changed, since Nowere Man can represent Bush...

Beatles were poets of an era, that marked the modern history of mankind...

SSRRICTSQUAD- Abbey Road - again great ! Think For Yourself was a good song too.

JUST HUMAN- That's cool that you are a great Beatles fan ! I'll share the title with you , how about it ? I too feel that to let the Beatles legacy rest as it is ; is just fine ! That being said - I have seen McCartney perform Beatles songs with his group that plays with him and they do a great job ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
