I would direct them to the New Testament.
Then have them write out all the rules they are expected to follow and have them find in the Bible where they can be found.

Please report yourself to an Elder for a severe caning (we do this out of love).
I'd be very patient with them and go suggest going through the reasoning from the scriptures and sit with JUST the bible (a few versions) and disect each subject. If the subject is 607, then we go to historical books. If quotes are used, we go look up those actual quotes and read them in context. The thing is the Witness has to want to do the actual research involved.
Just lambasting them with things like the pedophile cover-ups doesn't do it sometimes - I've brought this up with my Def'd cousin (he still believes it's the truth) and well he says we're all imperfect and blah blah blah....
Lack of love and hypocrisy may work over time combined with their own personal experiences. After several years, we realized that God had nothing to do with jws as a group, that it is only what individuals actualy do that matters.
Excellent comments and suggestions, everyone!
Each person has something that affects them in a different way. I'm not a big studier of evolution/creation arguments. This would not be the thing to make me think this isn't the Truth.
But I do thrive on failed JW Bible prophecies, inconsistencies from the "Slave" and flip-flops. It makes me clearly see that the facts are indisputable.
How Would YOU Help a JW That Is Questioning The Religion?
I'd send em to Bethel. If they stayed a Witness, they'd be out of town . . . and if they were inclined to leave the Witnesses, the Bethel stay should do the trick.
They're kicking everyone out of Bethel and making them "pioneers". Isn't that nice?
