Hillbilly, I don't support social welfare either, but this little diatribe goes far beyond that, saying that having to "dial 1 for English is a curse word" is offensive and stupid. That's what i meant when I said "not wanting to share the world with other people." This is a perfect example of extreme narrow-mindedness and paranioa about your place in the world. And if I'm a victim of public education, you're a victim of stupidity - a much greater burden to bear. Geez, white males have had it easier in this world than anyone else. The "solution" presented (the non-election of Hillary Clinton) is a negative answer, and presents no fresh ideas or solutions. Whoever gets elected, the same problems and issues will still face America.
I was looking more for actual answers to problems like the illegal immigration issue. I just saw hatred and scorn in the article.

There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.

I don't understand why people feel the need to be herded into a group or labeled as something.
Four million people are going to let a special interest group tell them how to vote? Just because of a gun issue? C'mon....grow some balls and vote for who you think is the best candidate. The gun issue is one of many, many issues and frankly, it's not the biggest issue at the moment.
Bush and company managed to cultivate a sense of fear in the conservative population by making same-sex marriage a focus of their re-election campaign. That means that a bunch of people got all worked up over something that has almost zero impact in their daily lives and voted for the candidate who agreed with them while ignoring the real issues like the war and health care...things that impact more people than whether two people can get married or not.
So many people feel that they have to align themselves with a group or party that supposedly holds to the same ideals that they personally hold. Usually though, they end up giving power to people who really don't give a shit about the morals or ideals of the people who voted them in.
While some of the issues presented in the article could represent how I feel, the article actually does a disservice to people who may agree with some of the issues. I don't consider myself an angry white male, I'm just me. Some of my viewpoints are conservative, some are liberal and many are moderate. I don't need some group or party to speak for me. I'm quite capable of speaking for myself and debating issues without some group, real or imagined, leading the charge.

Hillbilly and anyone else who relates to this article. You are forgetting the reality here. It's not the immigrant, or the person of color, or women, who have gotten this economy where it is today. It isn't the liberal. It's the NeoCons who are favoring the rich and the corporations, and killing the unions. It's liberals that support unions. It's liberals who want regulations on companies so the playing field is level. They got rid of affirmative action, that is not the problem. Of course they will continue to feed anyone who will partake, the notion that it is the liberals taking food off of your table, and jobs away from the AWM, so they can give it all to undeserving minorities. All the while, they are the ones with their hands in your pockets, but it's not for the poor, it's for the most wealthy, most powerful segment of the population. It will all be so much easier for them, if they can turn you against your neighbor. Even easier, if your neighbor doesn't look like you, or worship like you.

I really liked my last gravey job out of the hall...it was sorta like another gravey job I had a few years back... We took over a rat-run job that was so far behind the GC was going to loose a grand a day on for late fees. We manned that job up and in 3 months us union slackers brought the project in on time and just a little over budget even accounting for the original contractors loss
Yea... none of my forbearers were ever counted at the 60% rate... the English said us Irish where not even "humans" and had a scientist 'prove' that we were a sub-human species. Then a bunch of us Irish came to the states... passed go for $200 and went straight to Boardwalk. I wish someone would repatriate me...after all my folks came to the states... I dont get a cut of Austrailia or anything...

I don't know. I don't buy into the "angry white man" thing but I think there is an "angry intellegent working person" syndrome in this country. I work and go to school, neither I nor my wife make much but we don't run down to the welfare office and try to get the government to pay our bills! I do apply for federal aid to help pay for my classes but my bills are MY bills and I pay them.
I take care of my family. I don't expect the government to do that. I am DISGUSTED by the LOSERS in new Orleans. They had DAYS of warning, they could have WALKED out in 3 days. (this doesnt include those that were too old or sick to walk) One of those news stations was interviewing a family of like 15 people over 3 generations all of them had sat on their butts in NO until the water practically floated them away now they are waiting for the govt to build them a new house and guess what!? Not ONE of them has EVER had a job for more than a year... NEVER. If I could push a button and have every one of those people fall dead I would be jumping up and down on said button! I mean I don't care WHAT color these people are they are useless!
I would trade every single person in this country who is like the family above for hard working immigrants (legal immigrants) I do have a problem with illegals. They are hurting our economy. By not paying taxes they are hurting us badly! When I was in construction we lost TONS of jobs because illegas could underbid us so much. We paid 37% taxes they paid non so they could bid almost 40% less and make the exact same money! Then there was insurance and unemployment and SS that they didn't pay. They could bid less than half and make 15-20% MORE when all was said and done. Also illegal contractors would treat 'newbies' a lot worse than you would believe. We had an illegal contractor who drove a brand new 50k+ dualie truck that was awesome. He had about 40 or 50 illegals that worked for him that lived in a couple vans their clothes were full of holes they ate junk beans that he got from the dumpsters behind save a lot. We would go out to the jobs in the AM and these guys would be gathered around campfires on the job sites burning old scraps of wood and insulation off the jobs to stay warm before this guy (he was an illegal too just had risen in the ranks) would show up in his nice truck and chase them up on the roofs. They used dangerous equipment and unsafe tools several of them were hurt and one or two were killed... This doesn't piss me off because I'm a 'white male' it pisses me off because IT'S WRONG!
I would vote for Hillary, I WILL vote for Obama (I think he's getting the nomination)... I don't know it's just so... Crap... I'm too irritated... I'll come back later!

Have you ever been in a migrant camp? The contractors and brokers provide everyhing for those farm workers... at a markup. Food, beer , smokes, dope, hookers, phone cards, housing, and loan services are just a few things a good farm labor broker will provide for his pickers. From Michigan to Florida I never met a farm labor contractor who wasnt a Mexican. Not all Mexicans are bad people... but if the Angry white man is a bigot why should a brother latino abuse his workers?
