Mr. Flipper. I'm not sleeping all that well. It's hot, I got no aircon but have the fan going the whole night. I wake up feeling unrested and irritated with the world. And then of course there is this whole situation with my country - I love it, I'm a little angrey with how things are going. Would love to have strong, good people running it.

COGNAC- It sounds like you don't have too many bad memories as a girl. I do think you identify with your grandmother and are perhaps trying to make a connection with her in a subconscious way - by memory loss. I've heard of people doing that to try to connect with someone they've lost in death. They have similar things they imitate in that person to relate. I hope the hypnosis works for you and helps your memory.
WOW! How cool would that be? I wonder what I'm hiding from myself? lol
But, seriously, she was always just such a happy person, so content... My grandfather loved her sooooooooooooooo much!!! He just took care of her. If somebody died, she wouldn't remember. She would just be like, oh we should visit so and so. Even when she was in her last days of her life, she was so happy... My grandfather went to visit her with flowers and she kept wanting him to come closer and kiss her... I've never seen a connection between 2 people like that...
The day she died, I remember it like it was yesturday. I don't remember crying. My grandfather didn't cry at all until the very end... When they had to take her away. He put his arms and head over her body and wept when everyone went out back. I looked back and I saw... I've never seen anything like it, it was saddest thing... He put himself together and came back out to where we were... He looked at me and stopped and just staired at me dead in his tracks... It was like, I reminded him of her... I felt like for that moment, he wasn't looking at me, he was looking at her... Then he just threw his arms around me and wept right on my shoulders... I've never seen a man cry the way he did...
He died a couple of months later. He was in perfect health. I just don't think he could live without her...
I don't know why I went on and on about this, I just wanted to talk about her for a bit... I wonder if she became my guardian angel when she died?

Dr. Flipper - I often have this dream where I can fly. I only fly several feet off the ground and can't seem to go higher. People are always trying to pull me down but I don't feel safe on the ground and always try to escape them and get away. I wake up in a panic when I can't get away from them.

Mr Flipper; A few days ago I mentioned Revelations chapter 23 on the forum and not one forum member was able to comment on it.
I must confess, I don't posses a lot of knowledge of the bible and there are many on the forum that do. What am I to think?

GODDESS RACHEL- Oh, I agree with you . By all means I feel it's good to support your boyfriend in his pursuit of his " big break " in regards to his profession. And it is true , I've read in psychology books men cannot multi-task as well as women. When we are concentrating on doing something we tend to focus more on just one thing where women multi-focus. It is a kind of difference in the sexes ! If he is stressful my suggestion would be to break him out of his rigid routine and you guys take a road trip somewhere enjoyable to the two of you ! In will help ease both of your stress ! In time it will work out one way or the other. Just put your best effort forward . Good luck. I'lll still do these threads - they are fun, and I too feel it's good to open up about stresses - t helps us heal ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
I just want to say thanks for your thread and your good advice.
I also want to add that my boyfriend is self employed, which means he works 7 days a week (by choice,but also out of the feeling of necessity), which means I don't think a road trip will be happening any time soon.
But maybe after a while. In the meantime, I have planned a trip of my own, to visit my family, and I'm very much looking forward to that. Also, thanks to your thread, I have gotten some very lovely PM's with wonderful advice from one of this board's finest posters. So thank you for the timely thread. Just being able to have a sounding board really brightens my personal outlook. I have also been at home sick with the flu, and missing work makes me have too much time on my hands to think about stuff and make up things in my head. So,by posting about it, I have been able to put things back into perspective, so to say.

SASS MY FRASS - You used to have , " nightmares about people cutting off your long hair ? Now you dream about shoes ? " What does this mean ? I think it means that now you are going to start having dreams that you are walking around barefoot with short hair !
LOUBELLE- Sorry you weren't sleeping well . It's hot where you are now ? Do you really live in South Africa ? If your country is as screwed up as ours is in the U.S. - get used to disappointment. Power corrupts - absolute power corrupts absolutely ! ( I know , I borrowed it ! ) But to deal with the heat , the stress , to put you to sleep at night I recommend a Long Island Iced Tea , or any other mixed drink that is your favorite ! It helps me ! Ease your mind sis !
COGNAC- My ex-wife ( my 3 adult children's mother ) at the beginning of our marriage was depressed because she missed her deceased mother who had committed suicide 18 years before, when she was a baby. A psychiatrist told her she was subconcsiously thinking she had to experience depression in order to connect with her deceased mother. It was the only common thing she had to connect with her mother as she had died years before. Strange , huh? It sounds like your grandfather really loved your grandmother. Maybe he did see her in you when he looked at you at the funeral ! Maybe your grandmother is guiding you today ! You never know ! She probably is wanting you to have freedom from this mind control cult you are in ! I'd listen.
MADDIE- Perhaps since you have left the witnesses you are dreaming about breaking free from the " mind control " the witnesses held you under - taking away your freedom to fly - so to speak ! I have had dreams like yours since leaving the cult where people are trying to coerce me back into the witnesses, and chasing me too ! I think this might be what you are experiencing here. It is the struggle of your sub-concsious mind to regain your " freedom of thought " outside the witness experience ! In time , as you progress away from the witnesses those dreams will go away . Don't worry. We dream of unfinished situations in our lives which our subconcsious minds want settled. That's why we keep dreaming about them. But, in time don't worry these dreams will stop. They did for me.
DJK- I think that probably no one responded to your Revelation discussion because most members on this board are bored with the Bible. A lot of us are agnostics or atheists and with so many years of witnesses force-feeding us scriptures many here are nauseated with Bible discussions or just plain sick of the Bible period ! That's my take anyway.
GODDESS RACHEL- The shrinking offer still applies ! You are welcome , glad I could help. I hope you have a nice trip visiting your family and you are right - many times talking with others can help us get a more focused perspective on things ! Good luck !
