If Satan is such a good guy, as some of you have stated, then why doesn't HE do anything to help mankind?
Has he promised to?
I'm more inclined to direct my displeasure toward someone who makes promises but fails to deliver.

Genesis 3:4 -5 The serpent told the Woman, "You won'tdie. God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil."
The above is from The Message Bible. Sounds like a promise to me.

Milligal,
the Bible makes the claim that He is all powerful. It does not make that claim of anyone else.
I think that just about sums it up in a nutshell. This is His show, His game, His rules.
That said, I don't blame Jehovah or Satan, anymore than I blame Gandalf or Sauron. It's all from the mind of man.

Yes, but god said they'd die that same day. They didn't. They died more than 900 years later. The bible also says their "eyes were opened". Satan's claims were accurate.
That doesn't mean I'm saying that satan's a good guy and god isn't. But to me it looks like satan's batting a thousand while god hasn't even stepped up to the plate.

What's a guy that thinks he's a warlock, in clear violation of Jehovah's law, doing defending Jehovah?
Another mind reader.

Me too. And if you look just a few verses down the page you'll see that it came true:
7 Immediately the two of them did "see what's really going on
[...]
22 God said, "The Man has become like one of us, capable of knowing everything, ranging from good to evil. How did you miss that? What the serpent promised was exactly what happened which is why God then devised a plan to kill Adam and Eve.

Yes, and they didn't die when they ate from it. They lived for several hundred years, which is a few hundred percent more than I'll get.
Their eyes were opened as well. And: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:" (Gen. 3:22 (KJV))
Not that I care either way, as I don't think it ever happened, but hey - it's in the story. It could be said he kept his 'promise', or was factual about what would happen.

Genesis 3:7 Immediately the two of them did "see what's really going on"—saw themselves naked! They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves.
