Too bad about that kitty. Actually, I was in hopes that Fred some how wouldn't click onto this thread because I had no way of taking the little feller out of the destruction. Looks like, even though animals won't be the focus of Armageddon, there will be a few ... what do you call it? ... er ... collateral casualties.

Howz all going with the Cabin & gold mine. Is some of it going to be MINE when it's found? How would you like for me to come to Oz and help out with the diggin'? I'll bring my own shovel, bucket, dog, and booze.

Are you saying that you've had input in this thread, Mindfield? I never noticed it if you did. Oh ... that's right! ... You're the dirty rat that posted that oversized picture that played havoc with the horizontal dimensions of everything from here to China.

    Thanks alot!

I'd like to thank you, Yadirf. You keep reminding people just how idiotic the Watchtower theology is. JWs take what is essentially a worship service couched in figurative language, in heaven, that was almost entirely fullfilled in any literal sense by the end of the Roman empire and turn it into a club to scare people into believing your god is real.

Can I get a scripture on that? Or are you just going on the certainty of anything in a WBTS publication?

So, is everything up to the point of taking or refusing the "mark" irrelevant? If that is how we are eventually to be judged, on that one decision we make?

No, not entirely. Also, if a person is unable to give up indulging in other Biblically condemned practices, then chances are that when their life is on the line at that time they will opt to accept the "mark". Afterall, which is the greater challenge for them ... to give up their unclean practice, or give up their life?

If that is how we are eventually to be judged, on that one decision we make?
Basically, Joelbear, Armageddon is only about cleansing the earth in preparation for Christ's reign of a thousand years, not eliminating them out of the picture forever. Armageddon itself is NOT in effect the "second death", although it's been misrepresented as being such. The great majority of people who die at Armageddon will return in the resurrection. The sheep and goat judgment of Matthew 25 is post-Armageddon, not pre-Armageddon, as the WTS presently thinks. Yes, there's gonna be another flip-flop on this one.

    From Who's who:

Life has been good to Englishman since the Dubs: he has 1 wife, 3 sons and 2 cats. His hobbies include: anything steam powered, soccer, pubs and socialising. He hates DFing, poseurs and Southampton Football Club. His ambition is to build a kit car and to be the downfall of his "Dub in the Pub"

Wheeeoooow! Just lookin' a that pic again. Nothin' bad happenin' to anthin' that I value. No steam trains, footballs and pubs a-fallin' down into the abyss.

Is that red and white bit a Southampton supporter?

    It's not all bad then!

    Mock mock mock........

If almost everyone who dies at Armageddon is going to be resurrected, doesnt that basically make the preaching work now irrelevant?

Also, if I am going to be resurrected anyway, why not just have a blast now and clean up in the new system?

Also, I disagree that I would make a different choice regarding taking the "mark" and giving up sex. I have ethics that override my desire for sex in a great number of areas. I do not lie to get sex for instance is a simple example.

When faced with an ethical question such as what is the most just government for the earth for eternity, my sexual desires will be sublimated under much more powerful moral imperitives. I know this to be true, because it happens in my life now.

As you may have seen from my other posts, my sexual desire is not my main driving issue, it is fairness. The strongest drive in my body is justice. When faced with that bigger issue, I don't think you could safely assume I would choose to take the mark just to safe my life.

Now, if witnesses presented this as the issue, the eventual taking or not taking of the "mark" and showing how a life of faith prepared you for this, instead of breaking up families over differing beliefs and sexual picadillos, they might begin to have the basis for a logical Godly judicial system.

    G'day Kram,

We're all communist at my place. Finders keepers and make me a cup of tea if you feel like it. You're welcome here but you'd have trouble getting yer shovel and bucket through customs, we don't want the tiniest particle of American dirt poluting this pure land. You'd haver to leave yer poopy behind, my property borders a National Park -no dogs allowed and booze doesn't interest me much now i'm not a JW (but i understand your need ;)

    Merry Xmas Lee.

PS: I don't think Armageddon would worry SirFred, he'd survive a nuclear blast with his nine lives intact.
