You can say anything you choose to say as a moderator of this site. If you get paid for doing this, and I assume you do, well, of course, you are protecting your "job".

No one gets paid to moderate here. It is voluntary. We are a small group on a very large, active board. And there have been cases where mods were banned from the site for saying "anything I choose"

This is about me standing up and saying something when I perceive an injustice has been done, unlike what I wish I had done for my brother way back then to the elders. What I was trying to say is that I can't watch a bigoted scenario unfold right before me, and sit back and say nothing. You can make people THINK someone disregarded warning after warning. Because, really, there is no way to disprove that assertion, but I am choosing to say that an injustice was done out of a blatant bigoted downright hateful, revengeful, spiteful, prejudice against someone because "he's not one of us." (He was too "something" that the owner of this site didn't like....plain and simple) Someone mentioned "the powers that be." Well, that "power", imo, has displayed a gross misuse of it, and in his own words says he doesn't care. I can't trust a person like that. I can't feel free to dissent when a person like that has "the power" to humiliate a poster by simply pushing "deleted." It sucks to feel so suppressed.

I don't read everything that happens on this board. There aren't enough hours in a day.

And as you have done - let your voice be heard and chosen to leave. You have ever right to do that -- and we won't stop talking to you if you come back

What do I think you are doing? You are making claims but not backing them up. You wrote a "Letter of disassociation from JWD" but only hinted at reason, that posters were being restricted unfairly. So somewhere on JWD there was an injustice at sometime supposedly by Simon, the owner of the forum, against some unspecified posters for reasons that have yet to be stated. If you want support dude...start spilling the beans. Tell all, lay it out for us. "Paper trails" are everything in cases like these. Cite the posts in question, provide copies of e-mails, take screen shots (as I am doing right now with the print screen button). Talk is talk unless backed up by action (or proof)

I'm gonna disassociate myself from Microsoft Technet because its search feature yields too many irrelevent hits. It takes far too long to wade through it all. Google does a better job. I'm sure Steve Ballmer will be shattered when he finds out.

Then I'm gonna have some coffee and cake.

This is a very moving post. It certainly shows much sensitivity, not to mention great integrity.

So, not that anybody cares

Well, it is not worth much in the balance, but I do care. I hate to see posters leave with hurt feelings. Perhaps you only need a breather. Or yes, perhaps you need to leave if the JWD energy has become toxic for you.

But whatever you choose, I wish you only the best~
