Wow, Stillin, that's a great way to describe fading, upside down.

It seems you are at a cross roads and you are still young, for now. Time has a way of moving quickly. I hope you can take your wife and leave if that's what you want.

The charade is not healthy for anyone. Life is about choices.

    Still no pm, mama?

FF, I love you but, I do not like the idea of birds in captivity. My sis has birds and I just don't get it. Poor things; they need to fly.

Now that I've had him for 3 1/2 years I'm inclined to agree, especially for large birds. When I chose a pet I opted for a bird, thinking a dog was too much work. You have no idea how wrong I was. They're very intelligent, very emotional, and need constant stimulation, as my shredded furniture can attest. I'm trying to do the best I can for him though, and he's only in his cage at night.

SWEETFACE- It sounds like you have an aversion to E-harmony.com for some reason. The point is that they match you up based on 29 points of similarity you have with someone else. They give you multiple choice questions to answer so ONLY those that answered similarly to you will be matched with you and their information sent to you. So it's not like a blind shot in the dark- you essentially know you are meeting someone with similar values as you have. With the bad experiences you say you have had - I would think you would want to be more particular. Just a thought.

STLL IN 74- I know you are facing quite a quandary there friend. It is tough when your mate wants to have children- but raise them in a cult. Like you , I had many friends in the organization - I lost many after stopping 5 years ago, but I have gained more authentic friends since, those with real unconditional caring ! If and when you make that final move- you will find the same also. Hang in there buddy, just take it one day at a time !

JOHN DOE- I'm sorry you are depressed . Don't let the bottle take you over though. Keep your chin up friend , hang in there. Is anything depressing you in particular ?? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

The booze part was a joke.

The only one my struggles have any meaning to is me, and it's better to keep it that way. I really should not have said anything. REM had a good song, "Everybody hurts."

JOHN - It's cool guy. I think everybody needs an outlet here or there. But I agree many of us choose to keep things private- and that's cool as well. Whatever works for each person is fine. I agree- we all have our pain. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Flipper, no offense personally to you or your wife, but I checked out E-Harmony a few years ago. I am in no way interested in spending that kind of money for the seemingly low-quality and, quite unattractive, guys who are members of that site. The people on the commercials are actors...and bad ones at that. Congrats if you had a good experience w/ it, but you are definitely in the minority.
